The wooden town of Hjo is located on Lake Vättern between Gothenburg & Stockholm. The city structure is almost exactly the same as in medieval times. The steamship S/S Trafik is one of the oldest steamships in Sweden. In the summer, it goes on small trips, to Visingsö, the biggest island in the lake.
The guest house is situated in a stunning garden setting near lake 10mins drive north of Hjo. A smaller guest house is also available for 2.
A unique garden setting with a lot of character and an opportunity to stay in a traditional Swedish "Stuga".
The large cottage has a traditional sauna, board games, books, music & pool table. TV/DVD can be requested.
There is also an authorised skin treatment & pool on site which can be booked for a surcharge for those who want that little extra.
If requested full access to the garden can be granted during most times of the year. The space covers 1 ha of garden with unique species of trees & plants.
The lake is only 15 mins walk, including a private harbor, picnic area and most importantly swimming!

Other things to note
Pets & smoking not allowed in the guest house. If agreed prior to visit, any pet can reside in our carpentry house but please check.
The kitchen currently doesn't have an integrated oven to prepare larger dinners but there is a microwave, cooking hobs, sink, coffee machine etc. A standalone 'mini oven' is available and suitable for most dishes.
No Candles or food & drink on the pool table. There is an additional cost for use of the sauna/pool
