About this listing

Cozy artists loft off the beaten path of NYC, right in between the neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Bushwick, Brooklyn. Stay in a hanging guest room, inside our loft filled with light, art, plants and many creature comforts. 3 blocks from the subway

The space

This is a hanging room with a treehouse feel that Ive built in my vintage warehouse loft. Located in the vibrant artists neighborhood of East Williamsburg or West Bushwick, Brooklyn. This is a great option for any design-minded or otherwise curious individual seeking a unique and cozy place to stay in New York that is close in proximity to the hip neighborhood of Williamsburg or the gritty bleeding edge neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn. This particular loft has been residential for over twenty years, I began converting it whilst in architecture school and have been at it for the past seven years.

You will be staying in a mature, very well functioning, slightly communal, clean, relaxed and respectful loft, you will be one within a community of six.

The room receives east morning light, is 10'x 11' and has a huge desk/chair, lofted full size bed with duvet and a small closet for clothing. The building is a defunct tannery turned artist loft residence over 20 years ago. Our loft is a corner unit, 2 level open light-filled space with exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, sixteen foot ceilings. You also have access to the rooftop, with beautiful 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline and all around Brooklyn and Queens.

I felt affection towards this house from day one. My room was clean and comfortable. The interior of the house was very interesting and I loved hanging around in this unique place when there was a snow storm for couple days. Arnold was very friendly and easy to communicate during my stay at his house. He is really nice, he invited me to hot pot dinner which was really delicious and he let me take books I borrowed from him so I can finish reading them. It was awesome place with really kind host so I recommend that you should try one of a kind experience ~! :)

Staying with Arnold is the best decision I have made. Arnold is a really chill person and will take good care of you. The loft is really cozy and the location is very convenient. I have stayed there for three months, and every single day felt like I was hanging with my closest friends. I would strongly suggest this place who is looking for a home in Brooklyn, and would like to hang out with room mates.

This place was the perfect place to start my nyc journey. Arnold was super helpful, and I made some real friends there. The bike was a great addition to the room, Williamsburg is cool to explore that way. Recommended especially for people into music (lots of instruments to jam on). Room was spacious and cosy. I came with two big suitcases and was able to store all my clothes. Maddy the dog is super nice and quiet. I had fun! See you soon guys!

I had a great time staying at Arnold's place. Arnold is such a gracious host! You'll definitely feel at home here. The roommates were extremely friendly and respectful. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed. It's also conveniently located close to subways and walking distance to tons of Williamsburg/Bushwick restaurants and cafes. I'd highly recommend staying here!
