The space

Well equipped kitchen off of the back, including a gas stove, stainless steel counter, hot and cold water sink, wood cabinetry, and cooking essentials. Trailers are solar powered. USB and other charging ports for your convenience.

Other things to note

How it works: After you book this sweet teardrop trailer...
1. You can reserve your own site at a local campground that takes reservations. Just let me know when you make your reservation where you have your site booked.

or

2. You can show up in Moab on your check-in date, pick a first come-first serve BLM site, call me and I will deliver your trailer to the site within 3 hours of notification. Just let me know your preference at least 1 week prior to your check-in date. I'm flexible. :)

Showers: Your trailer does not have a shower. Most reservation campgrounds have showers, just check their amenities before reserving your site. BLM and primitive campsites do not have showers. There are great showers in town though. The Moab Aquatics Center has inexpensive clean showers, which is what I would recommend if you choose a BLM site.

There is a delivery fee if you choose a site outside of a 10 mile radius of Moab. Delivery Fees: $0 within 10 miles. 11-30 miles $80 includes drop off and pick up. 31-60 miles $200 includes drop off and pick up.

Campsite fees are not included in rental price. Guests are responsible for campsite fees.

FAQ:
"I want to camp in a first come-first serve site. Where should I look?"

Most renters opt for first come-first serve sites. It is important to arrive early to secure your site. I recommend the earlier the better. Usually by 10am is ideal.
Recommended areas: Sand Flats Recreation Area, Kane Creek Road, Hwy 128, Hwy 279, and Ken's Lake Rec Area. All of those areas have multiple campgrounds.

"I want to tow it myself. Can I? "

For a variety of reasons, most of them legal, I do not allow customer towing at this time.

"How much water does the trailer come with?"

The trailer comes filled with 20 gallons which should last up to a 4 night rental. If you are renting for a longer period of time I refill your tank half way through your reservation. If you run out of water before your reservation is up or your designated refill day I can refill your tank for a $40 fee.

The trailer is a total gem! Wendy provides a great setup and is super easy to communicate with. The site we chose was along Highway 128 (Grandstaff campground) and we loved sleeping in a red rock canyon rather than in Moab itself. Our stay in the teardrop trailer was one of our accomodation highlights on our roadtrip. Not only is the mattress super comfortable, but Wendy has also equipped the trailer with everything you could ask for to make camping easy-peasy: headlamps, cooler box (aka fridge), fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, sink, kitchen utensils etc.). Thanks to the solar panel there is electric light and there are USB-charger outlets, which made it very easy to keep our phone and camera batteries charged to take many pictures of the beautiful landscape around Moab. We highly recommend staying in Wendy's trailer!

Wow, So incredible! It was completely beyond our expectations, we set up such a beautiful campsite along Rte. 128 and absolutely loved coming home to it at the end of our adventures. I was unsure of how we would figure out the campsite and what not but it was incredibly simple. I was worried that we would be miserable in the heat (107 degrees in the day), but the trailer is well equipped and we were totally comfortable. I can not recommend highly enough!

We loved our stay! Not only was it super comfortable, but it was also more affordable (than area hotels) and fully functional. We cooked all but one of our Moab meals (another $$$ saver) using our campsite grill and the gas stove/kitchen on the back of the camper. And, the large Yeti cooler worked wonders keeping our food cold in ~100F heat. Wendy was a fantastic host and did an excellent job communicating details/answering questions in a very timely manner. If we're back in Moab, we will definitely be staying again.

We rented this teardrop camper on a whim, and I suspect it will be one of the highlights of our 5-week trip. Wendy was a fantastic host-- very communicative, helpful, and understanding. And the camper itself ROCKED. The inside was quite spacious, the bed very comfy, and the kitchenette superbly appointed. We highly recommend Red Rock Base Camps!

Just ideal for a trip to this beautiful area! No need to pack any camping equipment, and you still get to camp! Does not get better than that in our opinion. Wendy thought of absolutely everything and I hope to one day be back to enjoy more of the amazing setup and scenery. Highly recommended!

Wendy dropped the trailer off at the Lone Mesa Campground for us when we were attending a week-long school field trip to Moab. The camper was fully set up with rugs, washing station, dishes, coffee maker, pots and pans, silverware, etc. The trailer was in immaculate condition. It was comfortable even in the midst of some pretty awful weather. I can't recommend this experience highly enough. Wendy even brought by an extra blanket on one night because she thought it would be too cold. This was by far one of the most positive Air B&B experiences I've ever had and we were the envy of all other parents who were camping in tents.
