We had a fabulous time staying with Danny and Erica. Communication with them was super-easy; their response time was so quick! The room was beautiful and calming. In fact, I'm inspired to paint a room pink now! My girls had such fun staying there too. There's a park and playground a short walk away, as well as the subway if you want to do some city exploring. Erica had lots of suggestions for places to eat, one of which we happily took. She and Danny were fabulous hosts and we'd be lucky to stay with their lovely family again. Thanks, you guys!

I had a wonderful time. Erica and Danny are lovely people their place is a rare treasure. They live in a bustling and clean neighborhood of schools, libraries, playgrounds, corner groceries and food and culture from all over the world. Venture no further than the L train, a brief walk from the front door, to have all of the city and the five boroughs within reach. Danny and Erica, their children and the close-knit community of spiritual and evolved people they have created around them, embody a New York special to Bushwick, to Brooklyn, and to the world. As John Updike said, "The true New Yorker secretly believes that people living anywhere else have to be, in some sense, kidding." A serious New York experience (with just the right amount of kidding... and the kind of rich experience for your time spent, that no amount of money can buy) is what you will find if you stay with Erica and Danny and their amazing two young sons, who, if you have the opportunity to meet them, will likely wow you with their great charisma and presence, and warm your heart with their sweetness and kindness. If you love to laugh, if you appreciate art, if you're working to make the world a better place and you're succeeding come hell or high water, if you're tired and wish for a retreat, if you're a traveling artist, if you're a long-lost uncle with a a sum of money you wish to leave in a shoebox in the closet, if you're looking for some serenity and deep peace..... then stay with Danny and Erica, Wiley and Stone. You will be glad you did. Oh, p.s. There's a lovely big grocery store with a parking lot right up the street, about 6-8 short blocks. There's parking there, in a lot. Also, there's a corner deli right across the street that's open until 1a.m. most nights and has decent coffee in the morning, very nice deli/convenience store with a many fresh items and essentials, also juices and ice cream and milk and danishes and beer, and fresh deli sandwiches. Parking. If you 're lucky enough to have a car in New York, shame on you. But seriously, could you give me a ride? Just kidding about the shame. But parking DOES get in the way of street sweeping a few times a week, and if you move your car, you will lose your spot. Many spots you WILL get towed from or ticketed for if you park at the wrong time there (or ever there). So be mindful of the signs, and prepared to walk some to get from your parked car to the door. Now for the rest of you- Taxis are great. Everyone should ride in a real New York cab at least once. Metro passes are under $10 at the station with a card or cash. The card has value and is refillable. You have to swipe quickly or the turnstile will...

Nice to hear you had such a great time. For future NYC parking info there's a website: (URL HIDDEN) in which you can put any address in and see all the parking regulations around that area. That's also listed in the "getting around" section of our listing.

We had a wonderful stay here! We wanted a quick city break, and a soothing, restful room to calm down in after a busy day exploring NYC was our wish. I LOVED our room - comfy bed, original features, and delicious soft colors (Erica told me some guests book the room with meditation in mind). We enjoyed using the spacious bathroom which was very clean with organic products on offer. Loved moving in and out through Erica's delightful space - felt very welcome and we got the private couples break we had hoped for! Thanks Erica - I hope to be back next time we're in the city!

We're a new family of 4. Mama, Daddy and 2 kiddos. We live in Brooklyn but love to travel. We have three listings in our large Brooklyn home. We love hosting. Mama and Daddy are performers and writers and our kids are philosophers already.
