This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
My place is a beautiful hideaway looking across a gorgeous rural vista to the lake. Well worth the 10 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of town!

Set on two acres, its only a short walk to the amazing L'arte Cafe, and a five minute drive to the lake, mountain bike tracks, bush walking or the fabulous Bay Bar & Brasserie.

My place is perfect for couples, solo adventurers or anyone looking for a getaway!

Also, there is plenty of room for parking so you're welcome to bring the boat!

The space
My guests will be in their own upstairs wing offering complete privacy. There is two bedrooms, a lounge with a couch, table and chairs, and a bar leaner with stools, and a separate room with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and other amenities. The area is spacious, bright and modern with views across the hills. Not far from town but well out of the hustle and bustle.

Guest access
The guests will be able to enter the private upstairs wing via their own entrance. The entrance is off a large deck which they are welcome to use.

My neighbourhood, a subdivision made up of several two acre blocks, is very safe and quiet. We are high on a hill providing stunning rural views out to Whakaipo Bay, but still walking distance to a multi award winning cafe - perfection!

Hi I'm Jo ! These things are never easy to write but here I go - now why have I decided to become an Airbnb host? Firstly it is simply that I love people, I adore the friends and family that I have and also love meeting new people. I traveled extensively in my 20s and still love to when life allows. Great Lake Taupo is an incredible region and I have been lucky enough to live at both ends and know the amazing things it has to offer. My oldest son was seriously into road cycling for a few years and through that we have made a lot of fantastic cycling friends. At the last Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge we once again had a house full ...13 I think! I loved my weekend and the boys loved my set up and all said "you so need to start an Airbnb". The timing feels right and I am so excited to start meeting new people.
