A charming, newly renovated cottage in the tranquil garden of a gracious, nineteenth-century family home. The cottage is completely self-contained with its own entrance and is surrounded by mature fruit trees. It has a paved outdoor seating area under climbing roses and a grapevine.
One light-filled room has an extremely comfortable, extra-long double bed with new organic latex mattress on a wooden slat base, reading lamps, armchair, chest of drawers, small kitchen and dining table. The separate bathroom has shower, toilet and handbasin. There is plenty of hot water and high-quality cotton bed linen and towels.
Guests have access to the cottage and the garden. Laundry facilities in the basement of the main house are available on request.
Interaction with guests
The cottage is let only when I am at home and I work from home so I am around most of the time.
Other things to note
I provide tea, coffee, milk and herb teas, along with a starter breakfast of wholegrain bread, butter, home-made jam and marmalade, muesli and yoghurt. The kitchen area has a kettle, toaster, microwave oven, cutlery, glassware, crockery and an under-bench fridge, but no hob for cooking.
