The space

Welcome to Benjamin Point! The bedroom, with a Queen sized bed, is on the second floor overlooking one of the finest sailing areas in the world. The room has an attached bathroom and there is a private sitting room just outside the door. If you have allergies, you should know we have two cats. You would definitely need your own car. There is a small grocery store about 8 minutes away and a large grocery store about 15 minutes away. We have a pebble beach to walk along to collect beach glass and we have a dock and plenty of rocks to sit on to watch the water. Our sunsets can be spectacular. The house faces the West and we can see the Camden Hills across Penobscot Bay. There are several wonderful restaurants and many cultural events going on nearby.

Brent's place is immaculate - bathroom is big and super clean - bed is ultra comfortable - he left local guides to get to know the area and even made dinner reservations for us. Brent and Anne go the extra mile to make sure their guests enjoy their stay and they enjoy getting to know their guests. The area has very limited meal options ao you should plan accordingly!

Great location, welcome and this place was a real find. We preferred the location to Acadia, such a lovely, warm, interesting couple. Highly recommend a stay here, stunning views and beautiful room.

The place was exactly as advertised and the property was beautiful. Brent was very responsive and willing to work with me on my check-in time. During my drive up, I ran into a little hiccup with my car and Brent was willing to offer us some gorilla tape when we asked if he could help us out. Highly recommend if you are looking for something tranquil.

Anne and Brent's place was fantastic. In an absolutely incredible location on the waters edge, so tastefully decorated and spacious...the photos don't do it justice. Anne and Brent were wonderful hosts, great communication beforehand and they even made a local dinner reservation for us. Would 100% recommend!

Very good cozy place with a private dock. We could not catch the sunset as suggested in other reviews due to our plans. Very easy to talk to and made us comfortable and welcomed. If you plan to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia, its 1.5 hrs away. But Deer Isle, Blue Hill, isle au haut are very close by and are good locations with less crowd.

Brent and Anne were wonderful hosts. Their home home is beautiful and immaculate. The surroundings are on a beautiful bay. The location is fantastic. We had breakfast each morning at the market right down the road. Excellent breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

Although we were only able to stay for a day, Brent & his wife were extremely accommodating and kind (they even invited us to breakfast with them!) Upon arrival, Anne made us feel very comfortable and walked us through how to set up wi-fi, local restaurants, etc. The space was very clean and private. The grounds itself were absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous. We hope to stay there again for a longer period of time in the future!

My wife, Anne, and I lived in the Philadelphia, PA area before retiring to Brooklin, Maine in 2001. We have two daughters, two sons-in-law and four grandchildren. We thoroughly love living in this beautiful part of the world, and we are lucky to have our children live in places we also love to visit in Philadelphia and Colorado. It is wonderful to have them come visit us here too. Anne and I taught Alpine skiing for 27 years, we now go to Colorado to ski with our children and grandchildren. We own a 1969 Morgan sports car and have a lot of fun going to meets and just going for drives.
