The cottage is situated on Kemp Lake - 15 min past Sooke. It has 2 bdr, full kitchen, washer/dryer and large living /dining area with a wood burning fireplace. There are lots of games and books for rainy days. A kayak/canoe plus rowboat provide access to the lake which is stocked with trout. Lounge on the wharf, roast hot dogs over the fire pit or just sit on the deck and gaze at the stars. The Galloping Goose, the famous Sooke Potholes and countless trails and beaches are there to explore.
The cabin was built by loggers during the 1960's who cut down the trees, hewed the beams and built a cottage! It has over the years has been updated to include a dishwasher, 4 piece bathroom, skylight and fully equipped kitchen. However there is still a 1957 push button stove that works just great.
There are 2 Queen bed with cozy duvets and a single futon which could be used as a single bed.
In addition to the cottage there is a wood shed which is well stocked and sure to keep the fire going. A separate tool shed has fishing rods, paddles, life jackets and paddle boards. There is a front and back yard with a great swing for the kids and two outside tables for lunches in the sun.
