The Amsterdam water villa was such a wonderful find. As my fellow traveler (88 year old mother) remarked the first morning "I feel at such peace here". We loved it so much that on our second day in Amsterdam we chose to just stay at the water villa and wave at the boats going by instead of heading out into the city. The location was great - we had a great shopping trip to the Noordermarkt and the Lindenmarkt, fun walking on the canals, and generally just a great time. We will return, hopefully very soon!

The house boat was perfect, great little spot and cool place to stay. Centrally located with tons of options nearby for food and entertainment.

A truly wonderful way to experience Amsterdam. Close to all central amenities, yet very peaceful. The houseboat had plenty of space for our young children and ourselves and was very well appointed. We were able to walk to all of the sites or quickly catch transport via central station. We highly recommend Marieke and their house!

Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, homely, and of course with a beautiful view over the water. Well-equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Wet shower room with lots of hot water. It is child-friendly (if you're careful with the windows and temporarily remove the cacti or breakables!). A serviceable cot and highchair were kindly provided. Washing machine and separate tumble drier, crucial for young children. There is a fun public playground on a barge just 5 minutes' walk North. Hanco and Marieke are very prompt with communication. The location is perfect for Centraal (from which most of Amsterdam is walkable or there are multiple tramlines to the Museum quarter etc) and the Jordaan. Very close to a good supermarket and a large organic supermarket. The area is quiet during the day, but can be lively on Fri/Sat summer evenings until 11pm with a bar nearby, although that never kept us or the children from sleeping. The nearby train line and canal tour barges do pass close by, but although audible it is not disruptive. We highly recommend it! Great place, great hosts.

We had a very nice stay, our host was very flexible with check in / out times when this was possible and bought an extra cot for my 20months old daughter. This was much appreciated. The place was very nicely furnished, it created a home feeling. Very good location (10mn away from railway station), while being in a quiet part of busy Amsterdam. I can warmly recommend to anyone!

Staying at this houseboat was the best decision I've made for my trip. I could see it from the train coming in from the airport because it's so close to the main train station, and it was walking distance from everything I did all weekend. It came as a pleasant surprise that we stayed here during pride weekend, which made our stay on the canal even more exciting. 10/10 Recommend the houseboat for your amsterdam stay. It was super clean upon arrival, the decor is beautiful, and the host is extra accommodating. The houseboat was magical and after just leaving this morning I miss it so much already!

The houseboat was fabulous and really made our week in Amsterdam special. You can walk or bike to many wonderful restaurants in the Jordaan neighborhood and the cafe across the street became our second home. Hanco and Marieke made everything very easy -- directions, check in, they even left us fresh flowers and a bottle of wine! Highly recommended.
