This home is a spacious studio with high wood beam ceilings, granite floors and industrial steel work. There is a private entrance through the patio with a fire pit and a grill guests may use while social distancing. The home is complete with its own HVAC system, water and TV. It is also located next to The 606 trail which is great for walking, running and biking. Historic and beautiful Humboldt Park is just a block away. There are also fantastic dining and drinking options equally close.

Guest access
The guests have full access to the studio and all out door spaces. If they would like to grill, I ask to be notified in advance (as much as possible) so I can make sure the tools are provided. I have a charcoal grill. Fire pits need to be approved and they will have to provide your own wood although I may have some around on occasion.

Where you’ll be

Chicago, Illinois, United States

My neighborhood is known for it's boulevard system and has a lot of green and trees. Check out Humboldt Park which is one of the best parks in the city in my opinion. I love to walk, jog and have picnics there. The 606 trail is located a block away. It is an old elevated rail line that was transformed for recreation. It has bike lanes and I do have extra bikes for guests. It is also great for walking as it connects three neighborhoods and is a uniques way to see some of Chicago. The jogging lanes are the same material as a running track. There are amazing restaurants and bars within walking distance or a short car ride away.

During your stay

I live in the main home located on the property. The Coach House is an entirely separate structure and perfect for quarantining and social distancing. We may run into each other on occasion outside on the patio but other than that I generally keep to myself. However, if we run into each other and my guest is in the mood for conversation I am happy to indulge. :-)
