Close to restaurants and dining, great views, the city center, art and culture, and fantastic parks, you're a few short blocks from the waterfront of Tampa Bay, and 20-30 minutes by car from the beaches. Our guesthouse is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, and features a private parking space and private entrance. Enjoy the private courtyard just outside your door - perfect for coffee in the morning, or a cocktail at the end of your day.

The space

The guesthouse is cozy and comfortable, with vaulted ceilings in the main space and tile throughout. The queen bed is comfortable and has plenty of pillows, and the kitchenette is well-appointed with coffee for the French press and tea; the small fridge and microwave are conducive to quick eats, but we are close to dozens of fantastic restaurants - so plan to eat out as much as you can!

The air conditioning is a dedicated central A/C unit, not a "window shaker"... cool and quiet. The windows have blackout shades, should you wish to sleep during the day.

In the bathroom we provide a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash: we've appointed the guesthouse as if you were a family member visiting... we hope you will make yourself at home and feel free to use what you need, but please leave the accoutrements for the next guests.

There is a comfy loveseat and a TV. There is no cable subscription, but you do get local stations and major networks such as NBC, CBS, FOX, etc. There is a lending library of books for you to peruse.

Guest access

Access to the guesthouse is via the alley, with a dedicated parking space. You'll enter a gate into the guesthouse's courtyard to access your private entrance. The courtyard is for your use - enjoy!

Interaction with guests

Please let us know if we can be of assistance; we want you to enjoy your stay. We're happy to recommend activities and restaurants... DTSP (Downtown St. Petersburg) is a 25 minute walk or a 10 minute Uber ride, and St. Pete Beach (voted #4 Best Beach in 2016 by TripAdvisor) is a 20 minute drive. Let us know what you are interested in, and we'll point you in a direction!

Other things to note

A couple of places to check out when looking for current events are the websites for ilovetheburg and Creative Loafing - Tampa... and the Saturday Morning Market is definitely worth checking out.

I love Joe and Cyndi's guesthouse! I used the guesthouse as I was relocating. It was so convenient! I love the neighborhood and Joe and Cyndi were helpful and attentive. I can't say enough positive things about them and the guesthouse. I was very comfortable while taking the time to find a place of my own. In fact, I was so comfortable that I wasn't even in a great hurry to do so. Thanks for everything!

Highly recommend staying at Cyndi's place! I stayed there with my husband for a few days and we had everything we needed, including coffee, travel guides, and a comfy sitting area. The little outdoor space is perfect, and the neighborhood is adorable. We enjoyed visiting the nearby park, and the walk to downtown st petes was pleasant. Hope to stay here again!

Cyndi and Joe are wonderful hosts. I used their place while on business to St Pete. The guest house is warm and comfortable. You can't beat the neighborhood. Being in Old NE in St Pete makes it easy to walk to many restaurant and sites in the area. Thumbs up all around!

Cyndi's studio was the perfect place for our stay in St. Petersburg. From the moment that we booked her accommodation, we received excellent communication and felt confident that we made the correct choice. The apartment was clean, well appointed and comfortable. We will definitely book her place the next time we visit St. Pete.

This was a great stay. The space was perfect for two, comfortable, and clean. The hosts were hospitable and super accommodating. We loved staying here, riding bikes, spending time in the patio space and would return AND recommend without a doubt. Thank you !!

Every day is a staycation when you live in St. Petersburg, but both work and play allow us to travel often.

Joe and I truly enjoy being both AirBnB hosts at home, and guests when we're away!
