Beautiful Edwardian family home by the seaside in Broadstairs with a luscious private garden, double drive and EV charging point.
Broadstairs is a beautiful, quintessentially English seaside town offering stunning beaches, coastal walks, historical connections, a wide variety of attractions and some superb restaurants.
We fondly call our home our 'five minute house' as we can walk to the beach, the station, town centre, many restaurants/cafes and the cinema within this time frame.
Our kitchen is very well equipped - all the usual appliances (two ovens, grill, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, american style fridge freezer) plus a Nespresso coffee machine, milk frother, nutribullet, juicer, food processor, soda stream and a generous variety of crockery, cutlery and serving and cooking utensils.
We like to welcome our guests with a complimentary bottle of prosecco, food essentials (bread, a selection of milks, a selection of teas, fresh coffee and coffee pods, fresh fruit, juice and cereals) and household products (dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid and cleaning supplies).
We have a selection of books and toys, board games, films/box sets on DVD and beach/garden toys for use throughout your stay.
You can use our office to access the boiler but this is the only room in our home that we ask guests not to use.
We have a beautiful, private back garden that gets the best sun during the morning and from which you can just see the sea. We have an outdoor table (can seat up to 10), parasol, two sun loungers, BBQ and inflatable paddling pool, garden crochet set, swing ball, tennis/badminton sets, boules and numerous buckets, spades, diggers and beach towels etc for the beach.
We have two adult and two child bicycles (suitable for ages approx 5 and 8) which guests may use (guests are responsible for their replacement if lost or stolen).
We have an organic greenhouse and guests are welcome to use any of our fruit or vegetables. Most of our produce is at our local allotment - if you are keen you can also make use of this.
The cabin at the end of the garden is a private workspace (a bijou studio and treatment room). If you are a large family it may be possible to accommodate an extra 4 guests here at an additional supplement (it can be converted into two double rooms plus a bathroom/wc and kitchenette and has underfloor heating throughout) otherwise it is not to be used by guests.
You can access the boiler in our office though our computers are not for guest use.
Interaction with guests
We hope that we will get to meet you personally or that our housekeeper will be able to greet you upon your arrival - if this is not possible we can make arrangements for key collection/drop off.
We have compiled an information folder about our home (and how to operate the gadgets within it) and a directory of who to contact if anything goes wrong. We have also included lots of information about the locality, attractions, events, restaurants etc.
Other things to note
Our home is a no smoking house and we always leave our shoes in the porch - we ask our guests to respect this and do the same please. Please lock all doors and close all windows when you go out and shut the side gate to ensure our insurance is valid. Please place drinks on mats provided and not straight on to surfaces that could be marked or damaged. Thank you.
- Guests are requested to remove their shoes and store them on the racks in the entrance porch before entering our home please. We are on great terms with our lovely neighbours and ask guests to ensure they are not disturbed with loud noise or music.
- Guests are welcome to use the wood burner (only wood, no other fuels) in the living room on the understanding that they accept full responsibility for their own safety and that of our property.
- All windows and doors to be closed and locked when guests are not present in the house including the side gate to the rear garden.
Gerardo loves photography and works in News. Natasha is a holistic therapist and yoga teacher. Our son is a happy little soul. We love sunrises, good food, travel, and all things fun in life. We hope that sharing our home with you will enable you to enjoy good times together in Broadstairs.
