We wanted a little piece of paradise just for the two of us and we got it. The hut is on the beach so that you can fall asleep to the sound of the wave caressing the sand. The host were very friendly and great conversationalists. We enjoyed discussing geopolitics and history with Tan just as much as the plants in the nearby forest with Abbas. At the time of writing, the only restaurant there displays no prices. The food is great but just remember to ask for food and beverage prices from the beginning to avoid any surprises just before departure.

While most people would write here a normal review, We knew that with Nipah that just wouldn't do, But where to begin with this magical place? A private beach, beautiful huts, a truly special space, Where you stay for 1 night, no 2, no 3, now 4, So don't book any return flights, you will 100% want more. And the main reason why? It's Abbas and his crew, He's the boat captain, the chef, and of course the gardener too, You clearly do well at everything you try, Except you would never make us roti canai :( So now the boring part - the actual review, Nipah is amazing, all other claims are true, The food is incredible, we wish we could always eat here, Although we probably could have done with less daytime tequila, gin, mojitos and beer. The huts are clean, lovely and beautifully decorated, The beach, the snorkeling trip, the waterfall, left us elated. (Sorry if you don't know that word, it was the only word that rhymed) But anyway, we're still bruised from all the rocks we climbed. We are so sad that our trip has come to an end, But we left with 3 brilliant new friends. So to everyone else - BOOK THIS AIRBNB. For the perfect escape and even better company. And lastly to Abbas, Polo and Schnack, We need to know... when's the earliest we can come back?

We spent two nights in this beautiful lost place. It was a wonderful time spent at Tioman island, in Nipah place as the host Abbas is friendly and takes good care about his guests. We enjoyed really personal service in every detail- he brought us snorkeling and jungle trekking, basically we had or own private tour guide and it was great feeling to experience less touristic things together. The place is away from resorts and it's possible to access it only by boat, but Abbas pick you up from ferry terminal for some extra money. There are some other batches around, so it also perfect not only for couples who wants to enjoy lost experience, but group of friends who want to hang out without other people. Also, place is clean with lovely shell interior details everywhere. Abbas offers to cook meals for some extra money ( which is a bit more expensive than other places around), but it's worth the money as he and his girlfriend cooks only for you. We got some lovely welcome drinks straight from the coconut tree when we arrived, other time Abbas let us get our own coconuts if we managed to climb on tree :)) Furthermore, at the place lives two lovely cats Lalu and Etto which are adorable and super friendly. We would definitely recommend this place for people who want to enjoy lost feeling, local experience, good snorkeling instead of staying in crowded resorts. Thank you Abbas and your friendly cats for welcoming us and good luck with everything! :))

If you're looking for a place to stay on Tioman Island, stop looking and book this place now! A secluded beach resort with the local Malaysian Renaissance Man Abbas, and the lovely Oya acting as your hosts for the trip. For affordable prices you can have home cooked meals, drinks by the beach, and adventurous trips. You come in as a tourist but leave feeling like a member of the family. We had no idea how much we were in for when we booked this place, and the three days here was easily the best part of our two weeks travelling Malaysia. Bathroom is decent, bed is comfortable, and you feel like you're out in nature the whole trip. You have all the privacy in the world when you need it, and fun and easy going friends in the hosts when you want. Seriously, book this place!
