Welcome to Sua Casinha! Your Austin home while visiting this vibrant city. I had the opportunity to visit over 21 countries the last five years and realized that some of the best times started with the people I met at hostels. A good travel story starts and ends with the people at your side. With this in mind I wanted to create a vibrant, laid back, friendly and affordable hostel-style space where people can come here and cross paths.

The space

**This listing reserves up to 2 beds in a 6 bed dorm with bunks/shared bathroom
**If you would like to book more than 2 guests, please send me a message to check availability
**If you would like to book more than 10 days please send me a message to check availability
Whether you're a nomad circumventing the earth, in town for a festival, business, or moving to town and needing a temporary place while you find the perfect apartment...all are welcome. Sua Casinha is here to enhance your Austin experience.
This two-story house has 3 dorm rooms, each with twin size memory foam beds (incredibly comfortable). For your convenience, each bed is equipped with a personal fan, reading light and a power hub so you can charge your devices at night. Each room has lockers to store personal belongings. Remember to bring your lock!

Guest access

24/7 access via secure codes. No keys necessary!

Interaction with guests

I work remotely which means that I spend a lot of time in coffee shops but also work from home from time to time. I'm always just a message or phone call away in case you have questions.

Other things to note

I have created Sua Casinha to be hostel-like. Therefore you will be sharing the house with other travelers and myself. If you are looking for a place to be by yourself, this is NOT the place for you.

If you are a hostel veteran, welcome! If you have only stayed at Hotels or private Airbnb's but are open to new experiences and making friends in the process, give us a try! I caution that side effects may include shedding the fear of strangers and involuntary trusting of others!

Carlos is operating a rather nicer hostel than HI Austin, Drifter Jack's, and even the Firehouse...the vibe is positive and more amenable to travelers of varying interests and walks of life. It's convenient to public transit and fully-equipped with updated amenities, in addition to being thoughtfully furnished. I really see no reason to look elsewhere for an Austin hostel unless Carlos' happens to be booked solid...definitely a five-star accommodation at this price point!

This is a hostel-type setup so you have to be prepared for the lack of privacy and personal space that comes with that. Of course there are pluses such as the chance to meet different kinds of people. This is a top bunk and access is a bit cumbersome; the steps leading up to the top bunk can be hard on the feet. I preferred the bottom bunk. Carlos was an excellent host; he was nothing but friendly, communicative, and eager to help. He definitely made the effort to ensure that I had a good stay.

Carlos's touch on a hostel is great. of course with all his own traveling, he's gotten many ideas to share. No need to be disgruntled about with this place!
