The location is brilliant, right by the heart of the Annex, mere yards away from one of the best movie houses in Toronto, loads of restaurants etc. It's quite basic, but very clean and all the amenities work. The self-checking makes for an easy time too.

Thanks Alan. Glad to know you enjoyed the Annex and my apt. Best regards From Rachel

Good location in the central part of Toronto with restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Very very close to the metro - right beside Bathurst station. The basement has the basic amenities, everything clean and well kept. The apartment has all you need but nothing extra, the wi-fi is a bit weak but working. You should be aware that there is very little natural light, but our stay at Rachel's was good and we recommended the location to everybody. Rachel provided great instructions, and was flexible about check in and out times which was very useful for us. She allow us to keep the luggage in the place past check-out time and any communication with Rachel is quick and easy if needed.

I basically had a similar experience to the other reviewers: Rachel was good on communication and seemed to be there if we needed anything. And she let my friend keep his luggage in the place past check-out time. The location is very good, and the value is great. If you are going to be doing a lot of work in the apartment itself you should be aware that it gets very little natural light and the wifi is a bit weak and sometimes spotty. I wasn't doing much work in the apartment, and was out most of the day, so this wasn't an issue, but I thought I should mention it for anyone planning on spending a good amount of the day in the apartment itself. In any case, there are loads of cafes around (including two just at the end of the block), so you can always go there if you want some more light. All-in-all a good place.

The good thing about this place is the location and the price! The apartment has all you need but nothing extra. The wifi wasn't working, the carpet in the livingroom was really dirty and the sofa bed too short for me (I'm 1.70 cm ). But great neighbour hood!

Response from Rachel:
thanks for your feedback . I got rid of the carpet.. which was clean but older with some stains..but its gone now so that should be an improvement. Also, we have more than the basics, providing a full kitchen with toaster and kettle. We are getting a larger futon couch as well so that should help too .

Rachel's place is in a hip and central part of Toronto (the Annex) with restaurants, shops and a cool movie theatre. Close to the subway, you can get anywhere in the centre of town in 15-20 minutes. The basement apartment has the basic amenities, is clean and well kept, and communication with Rachel is quick and easy if needed. My son and I stayed for three nights to catch a couple of ball games, see a movie, do some shopping, and ride the public bikes along the lake front. Rachel's was a great location and affordable. Thanks Rachel!

Hi. We love the Annex. Its the neighbourhood where I met my husband and I am still in love with the Annex and my hubby! We have a bunch of kids who all love sushi on Bloor and the local parks and playgrounds. We know you will fall in love with the friendly people and wonderful shops and cafes and hope to help you have a wonderful visit.
