Stylish, self-contained B+B in Studio next to owner's home, a Grade II listed former School House, between Glastonbury and Castle Cary, and near to Bruton. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings and characterful design including African textiles, antiques and cool 20th century furniture and lighting. The room has a very comfortable, king size four-poster bed and single sofa-bed so is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families with one older child.
You will be staying in a large studio room with four-poster bed, single sofa-bed and en-suite shower a few steps from the main house across a pretty Courtyard planted with olive trees and wild-flowers. Built in the mid-19th century as a school house I have recently renovated my home which is now stylishly comfortable and spacious and decorated with antiques, mid-century modern furniture and contemporary art. Peaceful and quiet the village has has only a handful of houses and a locally renowned Farm Shop. There are great views towards Glastonbury Tor and Castle Cary with King Alfred's Tower in the distance.
I will prepare a delicious Continental breakfast for you which is served in my kitchen, just across the Courtyard from the Studio. A cooked breakfast is also offered with at least 1 day's notice so that I can source the freshest, local ingredients. Please let me know of any dietary preferences.
