Had a relaxing break at the Old Orchard. House was plenty big enough for us (5+1) and had everything we needed, open fire in the evening was lovely. Very quiet area, although did have a visit from ponies and donkeys. Caroline was a great host. Would certainly stay again.

This lovely home is situated down a narrow unmade track and is blissfully quiet. It is ideally situated to reach places of interest within the New Forest. Caroline answered our queries promptly and was always contactable by phone or text. She thoughtfully provided some basic foodstuffs and the bottle of prosecco was a nice touch. We came with our dog and he enjoyed the large back garden but be aware that the garden is not completely secure. We had two lovely meals at the Shoe Inn in nearby Plaitford. Excellent value (2 lunch courses for £10) and a high standard of cooking too. Loved seeing the ponies, donkeys and deer wandering the lanes and we would recommend a stay here.

lovely spacious house, large garden, not too far from the main attractions of the New Forest. Good sized main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, lovely lounge. would recommend.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Caroline's place. It's a lovely home in the New Forest, with a wonderful garden, which was great for the kids, who had a wonderful time running around playing all kinds of games, and also lots of toys in the house, which they were happy for the kids to play with during our stay. I thought the location of the property was just perfect too - close to the A35, easy access to Romsey Rapids, beaches, Longdown Activity Farm, Eling Tide Mill [great for crabbing], long walks in the New Forest, Pick-Your-Owns - we had an absolutely wonderful summer holiday doing all of these things! Highly recommend. Caroline was also a great hostess - we knew she was there if we needed her, and she popped round a couple of times to mow the grass, but also just let us relax and enjoy ourselves! The house has good wifi, and we also loved the log fire, which we lit in the evenings to take the chill off.

Caroline's house was beautiful, large enough for a family and well-proportioned. The beds are comfortable and there are adequate kitchen facilities for cooking small meals. We loved the gardens and furniture. The house is well located but we wouldn't recommend staying there without the use of a car as public transport in the area seemed fairly limited. Overall a fabulous holiday home though, thank you Caroline!

This is a really comfortable home with loads of light and space. The garden is great for adults and children and there is pretty easy access to the forest and the coast. Caroline left us some milk and prosecco-all much appreciated. We had a really good time staying there.
