The space

If you love local organic food and want to experience life in the Yukon but still be close to the City this is the place for you. Just a 5 minute drive, 20 minute bike ride or 10 minute canoe to the City Centre. We also back onto forest where bears, deer, fox and wolves can be seen wandering down the Rd.
Your bed is comfy and clean. This would be considered rustic accommodation because you have to come inside for the bathroom, there is a ladder up to the loft and farm animals are in smelling/hearing distance.

Guest access

You will have full access to the house and property, careful not to let the chickens, bunnies or ducks out.

Interaction with guests

Some people host Airb&b to make a little extra money, we are hosting because this is our dream. To cook, eat and share stories with people from around the world. Someone will always be home to answer questions. We always host ( a workaway or helpex person) someone who is traveling the world to help with cooking, cleaning and check-in so you will have the opportunity to make new connections around the world.

Other things to note

This is a quiet place to sleep, under the stars and Northern lights in the winter and you will hear the roosters crow in the AM and the dogs will bark when any new person arrives. We sweep our floors daily, disinfect our home x2 per week...but it is a farm and dogs are fury.

Great location and friendly hosts. The tiny house was very clean, cute and pleasant. The main house was partially under construction and was a little messy.

Response from Amber & Erik:
So sorry about the construction mess in the garage Anna, the construction took 4 months longer than we were promised. The yard is cleaned up now. The main suite was never under construction... but we apologize for any unsightliness.

The tiny house is absolutely adorable and perfect for a low maintenance stay. I am genuinely sad I was only there for a quick night's stop over in Whitehorse--I could have happily spent a few days getting to know Amber and Erik, and the others staying on the farm. The location is amazing, so close to the centre of town but really secluded. The tiny house itself is a very peaceful space and was very clean. I enjoyed the communal aspect of the stay, and fresh bread in the morning was so lovely! Will definitely try and book the tiny house again

Great location, close to town without being in it, and perfect spot for watching the sunset. Warm and cosy cabin.

A lovely property in a great location within walking distance to downtown, or a few minutes drive if you have a car. I stayed in the tiny house which was very cozy and clean. Amber was great in giving helpful tips and suggestions for things to do in the area, as well as generally making sure I had everything I needed. Nice laid-back vibe and I enjoyed breaking bread and chatting with some of the workers staying there from other parts of the world.

It was a more than fabulous experience to stay with Amber &a Erik, the cabin is so comfy and cozy! If getting another chance to be in Whitehorse, will definitely stay with them again! The little wood house just right next to a forest and river. We saw Aurora around 3am. Just next to the forest... a really amazing Trip in my life:)

I had an amazing time staying in the tiny home. The space was perfect and exactly as described. The farm is just far enough away from town that you can enjoy the peace and quiet, but still venture into town when needed. The hosts and the workawayers were very friendly and always accommodating. The meal plan was probably the best part! A home cooked meal that you should definately take advantage of. Breaking bread with people from all over the world... Truly amazing!! I will not forget my visit to Whitehorse, and hope to come back again real soon.

We LOVE the Yukon and living a healthy outdoor life style. We want to share our unique life style with you. We are huge foodies and we try to grow and raise our own food, fish, hunt. We bake our own bread, make yogurt, sausages and fermented foods. We are living the back-to-land life style with the convenience and fun of being on the edge of the city where we can go to town to see live music and play games like Settlers of Catan.
We are experienced hosts ( having hosted over 100 Workawayers/WOOFERs).
We usually Have international workers here who speak French, German and Spanish.
