Hotel Cote Cour Beijing is located at No.70 Yanyue Hutong: a 500 years old well conserved residential area. Way back to 500 years ago, this hutong was originally a rehearsal area for royal musicians of the Ming dynasty. Following the collapse of the Ming, this area ultimately became a residential area for Manchu people of the Qing government. And the property became a royal pharmacy that served the royal family of the Qing dynasty.
