Mirjam was a great host! Very sweet and nice, the room is absolutely gorgeous, the view the location and cleanliness were all amazing. Definetely our favorite experience in the netherlands! She put drinks and snacks and there was also a nespresso machine, lovely gesture. The breakfast is also great, i suggest you eat it in the cellar because the view is just fabulous! Overall a 10/10 experience!

Our stay with Mirjam was excellent. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with very nice views of the canals and surrounding neighborhood. The location was a short walk from the main square and offered lots of options for eating, drinking, and sightseeing. And to top it off, the breakfast that Mirjam provided each morning in the canal cellar was a real delight. A very kind and thoughtful host. Highly recommended!

Wonderful host! She's very kind and ready to help you in every situation. The building is in the city center, along the canal. It's very clean and has all the commodities needed. Sincerely recommended

Mirjam’s beautiful house was perfectly situated: along the canal, at walking distance of cosy shops, high streets, restaurants (Plenty of great restaurants in Utrecht!), parks, museums. We would definitely recommend it. (Unless you are less mobile, our room was at the very top of the fairly steep staircase.) The house might be part of Utrecht’s history, the interior is trendy, carefully decorated with modern features and both the room and bathroom have all the comfort you need. If you visit with a friend, you can ask for the beds to be separated, but know that the singles making up the double are fairly narrow. The first morning, we enjoyed breakfast in our room, relaxed and in all privacy. The next day we chose to have it in the ‘werfkelder’, the basement, with a terrace along the canal. Great atmosphere. Try it, at least once. Visit Utrecht, at least once. It’s like Amsterdam, but without the ‘poeha’.

Our stay with Mrs. Mirjam and Mr. Vincent VanAssem was nothing short of perfect! Their home is absolutely charming and right off the canal in Utrecht, about an hour drive from Amsterdam. The hospitality, flexibility and kindness that the VanAssem's offered us was so appreciated, especially since my friend Jasmine and I were trying to explore the areas surrounding Utrecht by train and there were a few times we asked for breakfast to be served early or arrived back at the Airbnb late. If anyone has plans to travel to Amsterdam or Utrecht, I highly recommend this Airbnb!!
