Coro Camping is an eco camping site hidden away in the peaceful Rangihau valley. We open again at Labour Weekend in October 2020. We look forward to meeting new and existing clients and hope we are in for a long hot Summer!! Check out our listing and photos and book your dates on the calendar which is now open.

The space
Our site is very special as it provides complete privacy and serenity up the beautiful Rangiuau Valley, 4.6 KM off the main road. No traffic, people, or light pollution. Amazing night skies, bird life, and peaceful serenity. You have your own native bush side swimming hole with picnic area, just seconds away from your door. Your camp site has a fully functioning outdoor kitchen with BBQ, camp table, spring fed water, hot water shower/changing room, solar power unit, and porta loo. Tent has a queen size bed, luxury linen, natural shampoo products and coffee/tea making amenities. The 5m tent allows you to enjoy the feeling of camping whilst enjoying luxuries that will make your experience memorable.

Guest access
Your site is exclusive to you, there won't be another person in sight. Upon arrival you will follow Rangihau Rd 4.6km to the main farmhouse at 464 where we will greet you at the homestead and check you in before taking you down to the site and showing you around. You will have complete exclusive access to your own beautiful bush lined natural swimming pool and camp-site kitchen. Relax amongst pure nature. Turn off your cellphone and enjoy the experience.

Other things to note
You will need to bring all your own food. There is a large chilly bin provided on site. The Coroglen Tavern is 10 minutes away to stock up on beverages or enjoy a good pub menu and drink. Should you require breakfast we can
offer our continental breakfast at an extra $10/head. Fruit, juice, milk, bread/croissants, farm honey & farm fresh eggs. This needs to be booked in advance.
Should any extreme or bad weather impact on your stay we will happily bring you back into the homestead where you will have your own room, shower, and toilet.
Please note: In New Zealand our ACC scheme covers you for any personal physical injury or accident. You must see a Doctor or health provider first.
We take no responsibility for injury or accident whilst on our site or premise.

Coroglen, Waikato, New Zealand

As we are located so centrally to some of the Coromandel's best beaches and towns there are endless things to do. Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Hahei and Cooks Beach are all a 20 minute drive away as is the lovely Hot Water Brewing Company - we highly recommend a lunch or dinner here! The iconic Coroglen Tavern is just up the road and provides some of the best burgers and pub food around. Whitianga is 23km away has many boat trips, fishing charters and day trips available to suit everyone - no matter what you enjoy! The Pinnacles track (eastern side) is 8KM past us at the end of the road.
Its an 8 hour hike but there are several excellent areas nearby for recreational hiking and biking.
