Ours is a house like no many others. Whatever the reason of your trip, staying with us will give you the opportunity to make your visit to Dublin truly unique and unforgettable. In fact, it does not happen often to have the possibility of living in a fully restored Irish Victorian house that will make you experience the style and elegance of the past with no compromise on all the comforts of 21st century modern living.
Our house is a late-Victorian (ca 1890s) building of generous and elegant proportions that underwent a roof-to-ground very sympathetic restoration and redecoration between 2012 and 2013. The house retains most of its original features from over 120 years ago, such as marble fireplaces, cornicing, wall wood panels, floor boards, doors, knobs, locks and even brass finger plates! Everything, including the smallest detail, has been carefully and lovingly restored. As part of our restoration project, the house was given all the comforts of modern living, such as hardwood double-glazed sash windows, floor and walls insulation, underfloor heating, sounds proofing.
The result is a charming, elegant but cosy and comfortable home that has very few equals in Dublin. Not by chance the house has been featured on two first-class interior design magazines, including the cover page of the January 2014 issue of the prestigious "Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living”.
Our elegant and cosy guest room is within a self-contained part of the house consisting of its own landing, bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom with a large window. It has direct access to the staircase of the house and offers a lot of privacy. The bedroom has a full view of our lovely back garden and is very silent and quiet. It is furnished with original antiques and objets d’art and even has a 19th century fireplace! There is a kingsize bed and the bathroom has a spacious tiled shower. You will find only top-quality fragrant impeccable bed and bath clothes and the best Irish-made room fragrances and toiletries to get pampered after an exciting day out. There is free wifi for the Guests.
Our Guests are welcome to enjoy the elegant front drawing room and the beautiful formal dining room that still retains the original Victorian carved wall panels. Both reception rooms are furnished with antique furniture, old paintings and proudly display their original fully working marble fireplaces. A delicious and abundant breakfast, based on locally sourced food, is served in the formal dining room, laid out on an original Victorian table, overlooking our lush walled garden.

I am an italian visual artist/illustrator living in Dublin for many years. My various and different interests include arts, crafts, antiques, cooking, gardening, pets (I'm mad about my beautiful much loved cat named Melba), classical music, singing, nature, and travels. I really love classic interior design and period houses! I feel so privileged to live in a house that fits my taste and gives me the opprtunity to explore and enjoy all my passions. My partner & I have spent the last few years taking care of this house to transform it into our home. We think of it as a gift from the past with the responsability to bring it into the future in a very respectful and sympathetic way. We are keen and happy to share the joy of this privilege with our friends and guests!
