My place is up 3 floors w/o an elevator. About 970 square feet, it has a functional layout that makes it feel spacious. The common areas include a comfy sectional that could double as an extra bed. I have my own 1/2 bath and share just the shower. There is a galley kitchen with upgraded appliances, a large TV with Netflix and basic cable, plenty of parking and nicely landscaped grounds. Close to Catholic Univ, Brookland-CUA Metro station (10-15 min walk), Providence Hospital, Fort Totten Park.

The space

The queen bed is super comfy memory foam. Eastern exposure provides open views from each room and the balcony. I love watching the sun rise each day! Being on the top floor means you don't hear people walking around overhead.

Guest access

There is a small fitness center and a short walk to 7-Eleven, Domino's, Subway, liquor store.

Interaction with guests

I would love to assist you in any way you need including providing tips, sharing breakfast or dinner, etc. We will work out how much interaction suits you and follow that. I have a busy schedule but sometimes work from home in the mornings and often return in the evenings.

Other things to note

Parking overnight requires a pass, the cost of which is $10 per night to the apartment complex.

Very nice, clean place. Scott was easy in contact and made sure we had everything we needed. Not really close to all public attractions, but uber rides to down town were not expensive. Would definitely come back here.

This is a really great place to stay. This was the first time I used a private room on Airbnb instead of an entire home, but it worked out very well! This location was really easy to navigate the metro. Bed was comfy, house was very clean, shower was great. Overall a great stay!

Scott is a great host. He's very friendly, responsive and welcoming. Scott was happy to introduce Washington DC to us and let us to know how to plan our trip more conveniently. The room is really clean and perfect. The apartment is close to the bus station, metro station and a great church spot on foot. The environment around the apartment is very beautiful and fresh. Overall, we had a great experience. If I go to Washington DC, I will live in his room again. Thanks so much, Scott!

Scott was a great host. He's an interesting and friendly guy, and we really enjoyed talking to him and getting his perspective on the city. My wife and I mostly explored the National Mall during our stay in DC, and it was easy to get there from Scott's apartment. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Brookland CUA metro stop, and a ride to the National Mall on the red line costs about $2.25. Scott was happy to let us use his kitchen and space in his refrigerator and even connected us with one of his friends who shared mutual interests with my wife and I. Overall, we had a great experience and found this place to be perfect for a budget trip to the DC.

Scott was a great host. He was very responsive and welcoming, and he ensured that we had everything we needed. The space was really clean and the room was perfect for a short weekend trip - close to the train and walking distance from Starbucks and a great brunch spot. Thanks again, Scott!

Scott User ProfileScott is a superhost.

Business owner working in the residential real estate field and a fan of how technology gets us new opportunities (social media, Uber, and AirBnB!)

I lived in Western Europe so I have a sensibility of the social good and being open to others from different backgrounds. (Français / Deutsch). Non-smoker, like cats but not so much dogs. I do like tidy and clean spaces. If I am your guest you can expect me to be ultra responsible, correct any problems I cause, and to leave your space like I found it.
