It's really great that my husband and I can finally stay at Casa Avana. We booked the room since July, because it's usually fully booked since opening. Communication with Tari was smooth. When we told her that our flight would arrive at 12 am, she offered her friend to pick us up from airport to villa (with additional cost), and we were given 1 extra night to stay. We're so happy! We arrived at 2 am, and the pathway to villa was all wet due to heavy rain earlier that evening. Tari's staff came to pick up our suitcases on motorcycle. My husband and I walked and laughed all the way to the villa. It's so fun and challenging! Don't worry, they will give torches and there are also lights from another villa. As soon as we entered the room, the first thing that caught our attention was the comfy bed, and there's a bolster! In the morning, I enjoyed rolling up the bamboo curtain so much, and of course, really loved the beautiful scenery from our big window. Tari gave us recommendations on good food and other good stuff in Bali. She even cooked and we had lunch together on our last day. Ibu Ketut the helper was helpful too, she offered us something like raincoat, and food container to bring our breakfast. You know, the sweet gestures that make us feel like home :) Thank you for everything! We can't wait to be back someday. Definitely will recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Ubud.

This property is modern with a scenic view of the paddy field. The house is unique and although it isn't big, it's very well designed. Scenery is this place's highlight. You go to bed and wake up looking at a beautiful big, unobstructed paddy field. The greatest part of this place is that you can hear all the frogs and other animals sound at night! Tari's super responsive and helpful in recommending restaurants and other things too. I have tried them and trust me, she has good taste. I'm quite picky but I've been happy with all of her recommendations. She sent her staff to take our luggages to the house too. The only drawback of this place is the 300m walk through the alley and paddyfield. It's a little long when you're hauling your luggages. It's just the price to pay to get that view and I think it's worth it. What's been very helpful is Tari's responsiveness. She cares about her guests and that counts for a lot. Bottom line - highly recommended if you don't mind the walk. We rented a car and the car could park and wait in front of the alley comfortably.

Thank you so much, Tari. You've been such a wonderful host! Thank you for helping us with the bookings for the private driver and the trekking for Mt. Batur. Thank you for giving us so many recommendations for places to sightsee/visit and restos to eat. I enjoyed the chats with and you friend in the kitchen area. The view was awesome and the weather was great too. We had a superb time in Casa Avana, and we miss it already. Thank you once again. Best regards, Louis & June

I'm currently living between Jakarta & Ubud, I love outdoor activities, gardening, cooking and baking. And our home in Ubud, kind of representing what we like about Ubud itself, it's the place to laze around and enjoy the nature.

I run a small coffeeshop at downtown ubud, so I spend most of my time there, you can come and visit me anytime while it's open :)
