Shirley's place is absolutely lovely, and the house is second only to Shirley herself. My family and I stayed with Shirley for a couple of months and at the end, we wished we could move in for longer. The place is quaint, the neighborhood so quiet and safe, and the apartment was a beautiful retreat nestled against a beautiful valley. We would certainly stay again, and Shirley will be a friend for life!!!

Loved my month in San Diego and at Shirley's. South Park is a wonderful neighborhood - enjoyed walking to everything! Really enjoyed the weather and spending as much time as possible outdoors, including working from the patio. My pets really enjoyed the stay too. Thank you Shirley! Looking forward to returning to San Diego again!

This apartment has everything you need to be comfortable. and it's settled into a beautiful residential neighborhood. It's very walkable for people like me who love to venture out while being a 10-minute drive over to Balboa or many other city sites. Shirley is a lovely host and at the same time, you feel like you have your total privacy. We had the best experience at this gorgeous home with our gracious host Shirley. We plan a return visit.

We stayed with Shirley for a few months when we first moved to San Diego in order to give us time to acclimate and take our time to find an apartment. Shirley's place was an amazing find and we are so lucky to have stayed there. Shirley herself was always so helpful whether it was finding out about things to do in San Diego, or working through the logistics of moving and researching the area. Her input was always spot on and her advice became a welcome and essential part of our move. That said, this place is truly great if you want to experience San Diego like a local - we lived there! It was well equipped, clean, and the yard outside was a beautiful added bonus! Two of us lived there for two months, and it was the perfect amount of space for our semi-short/long term stay. The furniture is all very nice and Shirley takes great care of the space, and is super responsive with any concerns. The neighborhood is good because it is quiet and residential, but it is within walking distance of a lot of shops, restaurants, and nightlife geared toward a more hipster crowd. We truly loved our time with Shirley and are so glad to have made a friend that we want to keep in touch with forever!

This was our second trip to South Park and we were so happy to be able to return to Shirley's apartment. We have had another wonderful summer here. Perfect location--close enough to many great spots but feels tucked away in the peace and quiet. You can walk all about the neighborhood and the beach, zoo, and downtown are just short drives from there. Shirley is a terrific host and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, even during some maintenance work that had to be done during our visit. We were grateful to find a dog-friendly accommodation, too!

Shirley was such a great, friendly and courteous host. Our experience was positive on all counts. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. My Wife, my dog and I stayed for two month in Shirley´s apartment near downtown. We went to San Diego for studying english. The yard is very huge and quiet. Shirley was very sweet with our dog, he receved a lot of treats from her. After arriving in San Diego, Shirley invited us to a little tour trough the neighborhood and showed us the most important places. We enjoyed a few times a cup of coffee and a realy nice dinner. She was very helpful during our stay and we loved the little nice conversations during the day. We are pretty sure to come back to San Diego and to the nice apartment from Shriley. Thank you very much for the really nice stay in your house.

I was born in beautiful San Diego and have lived here much of my life, when I wasn't living in Los Angeles or St. Louis or New York, or the UK or the Mid-East, or spending time in Italy, which I visit whenever I can. So I know San Diego very well and look forward to sharing my city with visitors. I live in an up and coming, trendy area called South Park (nothing to do with the cartoon series), culturally diverse, gay-friendly, dog-friendly, and except for being close to the flight path to the airport (the price for a convenient 10 minutes away), mostly quiet neighborhood with great neighbors.
