A lovely Cornish Cottage built over 200 years ago as part of the 'Industrial Site' of Stithians, here, shovels were made for the local farming community. Our cottage has been lovingly refurbished, we found the fireplace behind a concrete wall and there is now a lovely woodburner for you to enjoy. There is a small courtyard garden to the rear, ideal for breakfast or BBQ in the evenings. We are surrounded by countryside for dog walks and the pub & village shop are close by. On road parking.

The space

We are 12 minute walk to the pub across the fields opposite us! The Seven Stars welcomes dogs and does a great food and drink menu.... The north coast town of Perranporth is only 20 minute drive away, whilst the south coast town of Falmouth is a 15 minute drive, offering you the hustle and bustle of a seaside town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Stithians is in the middle of Cornwall, offering access to the South West Coastal Path

Guest access

Welcome to Cobblestone Cottage; our cottage has one double bedroom and a twin bedded room with en suite shower. There is an additional bathroom downstairs. You are welcome to use our lovely home as your own and dogs are welcome here... Downstairs has a wooden floor, so don't worry about mud or sand! We would prefer to keep upstairs pet free! There is a kitchen, dining room and sitting room, as well as outside space for you to enjoy....

FYI there is no stair gate or cot for youngsters, although you are welcome to bring your own.

Anne's cottage is a delightful place to base yourself to explore the local area. We walked to the local pub, a proper pub, which was right up our street. It's central location means you can explore the North and South coast. The cottage itself has everything you need and more. They have thought of everything and their own guide book for the local area was brilliant. Our dog Walter also felt very welcome.

thank you - we do love it in this village and yes the pub is great!!! We have never actually taken the dogs to Gwithian in all our time here - we will certainly make sure we visit after your recommendation :)

Anne's cottage is the perfect place to relax, or use as a base to explore the area. It really does feel like you've walked into someone's home and they'll be back any minute. The cottage has lots of character, and feels warm and cosy. There were several very thoughtful touches and additions on arrival and during our stay but I won't spoil the surprise! We'll be coming back for a longer stay next year.

Stithians is an ideal location for exploring west Cornwall, and Cobblestones is an excellent choice of accommodation. This isn't a sterile "holiday cottage", it's a characterful home. To be honest there's quite a lot of clutter, but it is all the more charming for it. We were 4 adults and a Labrador and found plenty of space for all of us. The whole cottage was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, the facilities were excellent. The nearest dog walk is a footpath directly opposite, which was really handy. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone - with or without dogs.

thanks guys for your lovely review - I guess as we live here it is more of a home and we love it - will try and do a bit more de-cluttering before next season!!!! Stay again soon :)

Great house, lovely locations and a real treat to arrive to a cream tea in the fridge. Will be sure to come again for my next trip to Stithians.

We had an amazing time in this British cottage. It was so pretty and calme perfect for a British experience. Anne and his husband are very welcoming for their guest with presents welcome. We were just disappointed because we didn't meet Anne for check in and check out.

Response from Anne:
Hi Lillie - thank you for your review - sorry about the 'dust' which i am guessing is underlying dog hair, which i dont think we will ever get rid of with 2 dogs in the house, so many apologies for that..... next time we will come and say hello but having a key safe means people can arrive and depart whenever they like and no-one is tied to a time! We are glad you enjoyed your visit to cornwall.... kind regs

Anne's place was delightful. Well equipped and welcoming. We settled right into the sleepy village and explored the local area. Cream teas woodland walks friendly pubs and even friendlier Cornish folk.

Anne was a great host, we felt very welcome and very much at home. The location of the cottage was brilliant for our purpose of visiting family in near by Penryn and going to Falmouth beaches. The cottage itself was perfect for our family of 4. Overall a very successful stay - we will keep this accommodation in mind when visiting Cornwall in the future. Thank you Anne for letting us stay!
