House, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
Looking for somewhere special to spend time with those dearest to you? This luxury studio in the upscale, oceanfront Honua Kai Resort has it all - ocean views from your private balcony, shared pools and hot tubs, and a fitness center!
The beach is just moments away, so it's easy to spend lots of time by the water. Of course, you'll have a variety of resort amenities even closer (additional fees apply*). About four miles away is the West Maui Forest Reserve, where you can find awe-inspiring hiking on the Waihee Trail and the Pali Trail. This lovely condo is on the seventh floor, but don't worry about the stairs - there's an elevator.
There isn't just one pool - there are four! Splash around to your heart's content or grab a book and work on your tan in a deck chair. If you're looking for more of a workout, the fitness center has you covered. To soothe any aching muscles after a gym session or walk along the beach, it's time for a relaxing dip in the hot tub.
If it's warm out, the AC keeps you cool and comfortable. Curl up on the couch or the plush king bed and flip on the TV to watch a show, or rent a DVD and spend an intimate night in. With WiFi, there's no worries about being out of contact with the folks back home.
Step out onto the balcony with a mug of tea or glass of wine to watch the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean. If you're feeling peckish, head to the fully equipped kitchen to make a snack. The kitchen is as beautiful as it is functional, with granite countertops and high-end, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher). If you're feeling like a barbecue, there are community grills for your use.
Though this condo is ideal for a couple, a sofabed provides space if you have four guests, so small families or groups of friends will be comfortable here. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower, and a private washer and dryer means that there's no need to overpack if you're staying for a while.
Maui has plenty to keep you entertained during your stay. Tee off at the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course, which in 1962 was the first resort course in Hawaii. Ho'ola Spa, located right within the Honua Kai resort, offers ancient therapies for sublime relaxation. Book a massage or skin treatment, or go all in with the Revitalization Mango Nectar Package. Or, if you're here on your honeymoon, enjoy the Maui Honeymoon Ritual package. Whatever you choose, you'll leave the spa relaxed and recharged.
Spend long afternoons at the beach, building sandcastles, swimming, surfing, or snorkeling. If you love marine life, enjoy whale watching - the gentle giants of the sea are plentiful in this area, and you can take a whale-watching tour for the chance to see marine life up close. After a day of sand and surf, treat yourself to an amazing dinner at Merriman's Maui. Whatever you order for dinner, there's one clear winner for dessert: the Lilikoi Cheesecake.
