About this listing
Our house "Prowtings" sits in the centre of the charming village of Chawton, a stones throw from Jane Austen's house. It features regularly in her letters as a property she visited to socialise with friends. Visitors can stay in the beautifully refurbished two doubled bedroom split level annexe in the original old section of the house dated 1713 (the right hand section as you look at the front of the house).
The annexe is very well equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. You'll have your own front door access, living room/dining room, kitchen, separate cloakroom and toilet downstairs, bath and shower room and two large double rooms looking out over the front lawns upstairs.
The kitchen has all the modcons, - dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, oven, fridge, utensils, cutlery etc. The living room has two comfortable sofas, a coffee table, TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs, writing desk along with local maps, things to do and places to see.
You will have your own private front door and key so can come and go as you please. You will be able to park directly outside your front door (up the sweeping drive!) and are welcome to enjoy the garden and feed the sheep.
