If you drive, the nearest paid parking lots are available at “FRYS FAST PARK” - 40 Francis St, which is located just behind the building or “CARE PARK” - 613 Little Collins St, which is a 4min walk away from us. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable parking options.

If you just need to park your car temporarily for an hour or so, then you may observe the paid street parking signs around us.
TIP: Parking in Melbourne city is extremely expensive! You'll be lucky to get away with AU$40 a day for parking. Try not to drive if you can cos you're in the FREE tram zone and public transportation in the city is just amazingly convenient. If you "REALLY" need to drive, the best tip I can give you is, rent a car from Avis, Europcar or Budget from the Southern Cross Station depot just round the corner, it will cost anywhere from AU$70 to AU$150 a day depending on what car you're looking for. Rent it for the days you need and drop it back at the depot when you're done. It's heaps better than paying for parking in the city, or Uber is also another economical option.
This is a private unit ALL TO YOURSELF and you WON'T be sharing this with any strangers during your stay.
If you want to leave your luggage before checking-in or after you check-out, there are affordable luggage services and paid lockers round the corner at the Southern Cross

If you plan to cook, that's fine but please be warned that the fire alarm is rather sensitive, so please be sure to open the window and switch on the range hood while cooking, cos if it goes off, you'll be liable for the costs of the fire truck's visit. Ensure to notify us of your arrival times so that we can hand the keys to you personally. Check-ins are between 2pm - 10pm. Check-outs are strictly before 10am. Convenient free trams at your doorstep. Walking distance to Flinders station, supermarkets, restaurants, theaters and the MCG. You'll enjoy privacy with room & shared bathroom on your own floor! Collins Street is known as the "Upper East Side" of Melbourne - will leave you at that! Our apartment is conveniently located on Collins Street and Swanston Street where free trams are easily accessible. Flinders Street Station is also about a 5 minute walk away.

This place was amazing! The location and convenience of it was great and there were so many trams arriving in front of this location. If you ever need a quick place to stay this is the place! But in saying that I stayed there for 2 weeks and had a brilliant time. The only heads up I have is the bathroom in the bedroom is quite dark so just be careful and also use the bathroom slippers as the floor can get quite slippery after showering. Otherwise it is an great place to stay :)

The apartment has a lot of potential to be an outstanding home but we left disappointed by a lot of little issues. To be fair, we didn't contact the host(s) about the issues because most couldn't be fixed while we were there. For example, the wifi is awful. We could barely get (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) to load on our phones. We know service is better in that area but we believe the host(s) are purchasing the cheapest service for guests. The couch is like sitting on a rock (just being honest) and the furniture in general is very minimal. The apartment is clearly set up for business. This isn't someone's home. Plus it's a business with minimal cleanup in mind. The apartment looks clean because there isn't anything in it (It's absolutely bare) but if you look around there are signs of neglect. Burned out lights, mirrors smeared, etc. So it made us uncomfortable to sleep in a bed with no sheets because at this point I can only assume the comforter is not washed every time the place is rented. Other little things that were aggravating was not having any hand towels, the fridge/freezer being left off (it smelled because of it), the half bath had a strange odor coming from it, the dim lights (especially in the bathrooms), not having lamps, absolutely no decor. It really made us feel like we got suckered into a bad business deal. The pool and sauna were a plus. Luckily the weather was nice so I was able to run outside because two of the four tredmills were broken and the gym can get busy. The gym is pretty small, but workable. The pool and sauna were nice - great views from both. Since the pool and all are on the 32nd floor with floor to ceiling windows it was pretty cool place to hang out. Not sure if this was a one-time thing or not but the hot tub was a party spot over the weekend we stayed there. During the week it was fine. Normally were not this detailed in our feedback but I think it's only fair to explain why we feel disappointed with the rental. Sure the location was great but there are over 30 more similar rentals in that area, about the same price, offering a gym/pool etc. This rental needs some work.
