Our beautiful farmhouse is set in the green and peaceful Vallée de la Course in Northern France. Guest accommodation is on the first floor of our farmhouse - there is one double bedroom, a bathroom and a landing area with a sofa bed which can accommodate a further two guests. Our bedroom is on the ground floor along with the communal kitchen, living room and dining room in which we serve breakfast. Make yourselves at home and cosy up next to our large wood burning stove.

The space

La Ferme de Coupigny is a 'ferme au carrée' set around a grass courtyard with a large weeping willow in the middle.

The back of the farm is mainly set to pasture with a young cider apple orchard - a great place to sit by the campfire and watch the sun set.

The front of the farm was a large 'potager' which we are restoring. We also plan to raise a small flock of rare breed chickens for eggs and will be building a cob pizza oven early this spring!

Guest access

We really want to share our experience here with our guests so make yourselves at home, feel free to explore and even help out if you wish.

Interaction with guests

We work some of the time but at least one of us will generally be around to talk to you about the farm, give you advice on things to do in the area and hang out should you be up for it.

Other things to note

Being in Northern France the weather is fairly similar to Southern England so it's worth bringing wellies and some warm/waterproof clothing.

We enjoyed an amazing weekend at Tom and Celine's place. Their nicely decorated farm is situated in the quiet coutry side but still is quite close to every touristic/natural attractions in the Region. Tom and Celine are charming hosts, who make you feel at home in their home. We had the chance to taste some fresh homemade jam at breakfast and had the honour to share the first pizzas ever to be baked in the woodfired pizza oven, jumm! Simply perfect!

We had a fantastic short stay at La Ferme de Coupigny with our young son. Celine and Tom were charming hosts and made our stay comfortable and memorable. We had a yummy dinner in the courtyard after putting baby to bed. Breakfast was also delicious with homemade jams and excellent coffee. The farmhouse is stylish and comfortable - a wonderful, peaceful night to break up a long drive south. We definitely want to visit again, but will stay longer to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and local towns. Travelling with a young child can be stressful, but Celine and Tom were so welcoming and their place is safe and kid friendly it made for a very relaxing evening.

A little piece of perfection for anyone looking for a genuine country experience with a dash of sophistication. Celine is a warm and sparkling host who wants her guests to feel happy and relaxed and to enjoy the simple and authentic pleasures of this beautiful valley. Breakfast consisted of golden-yoked, freshly laid eggs on toasted handmade bread, cheese, wonderful local jams (I especially like the rhubarb and elder flower), locally produced honey and so much more. All the produce seemed to have a story behind it, with that French attention to detail. The farm is comfortable and tastefully, decorated with an artistic vibe, and is surrounded by pleasurable local walks. We were so thrilled to be taken to woods literally awash with acres of bluebells and sheets of wood anemones. Then there's the artisanal watercress producers just a few yards away - fascinating to see how it is grown and, of course, the beautiful walled town of Montreuil sur Mer a short drive away. We enjoyed the Saturday morning market and will be back to check out the two star rated Michelin restaurant. If you're interested in wine take a little time to explore Vinophilie where the owner clearly knows stuff but is as happy to recommend a modestly priced wine as a smart one. Where there's wine there has to be cheese and I don't think I have been in such a brilliant cheese shop in ages - it's on the main square, you can't miss it - it has the queues outside. If, like us you like gardens, there are a clutch of first rate ones to visit within an hour's drive. There may have been lots to do but In the end we were mainly just happy to hang out near Coupigny, listen to the woodpeckers, watch the swallows, soak in the scenery and the smell of spring, read and chat to Rose and Bob - Celine's two adorable hens who followed us round like puppy dogs. Thanks for taking such good care of us Celine - can't wait to return.
