About this listing
The house is located on a serene residential street in Oxford's hip and happening Cowley neighbourhood. The room is spacious, bright, and cozy. Charming English pubs, cafes, and restaurants are just a stone's throw away. And the University is easily accessible by bus, cycle, or even on foot.
Interaction with guests
This listing is a temporary sublet of the room of a doctoral candidate at Oxford University - hence the heavily discounted price. Both myself and the student will be travelling during the periods of its availability, but guests will be welcome to interact with the other house mates, and I have friends 'on the ground' who'll be happy to connect with you.

I'm new here!! : )
I'm a student of economic and social history currently living in Oxford. My academic focus is the rise of the modern megachurch, but my fields of interest are wide and varied: jazz, anthropology, rowing, Greek tragedy, board games and - of course - travelling.
My biggest adventure so far was a 100-day road trip across the U.S. leading up to the 2012 election. Together with a photographer pal, I tried to document the American political circus in a German-language blog. 15,000+ miles on the road through 35 states - I do miss it!
I'm also an avid tour guide of Oxford. The city is chock-full of history and I'm always eager to share all the neat stories and little secrets about the place that I've accumulated over the years. It means a lot to me to be able to add to visitors' experience here.
I'm looking forward to hosting you in Oxford and to making new friends around the globe!
