My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Located in the heart of the village with four outstanding pubs, a village shop, cafe and post office. This is walkers heaven country: steps to the Brecon-Monmouth canal that snakes through the village, direct access to beacons walking trails, and a short drive to stunning waterfalls. Walk and explore, or curl up next to the cosy log fire and listen to the tranquil river as it passes the front of the cottage. Brecon 6 miles, Crickhowell 8 miles

What a sweet, cozy place to stay, and what an idyllic setting! It rained pretty much nonstop during our four-day stay, but the wood-burning fireplace was just the thing, and the heated floors in the bathroom were a bonus. Wish we could have enjoyed the garden and riverside a bit more, but The Star across the road was an excellent consolation! Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic break in the Brecon Beacons.

The perfect location right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, we could start walks right from the cottage! A quiet village with two pubs on your doorstep, the cottage was oh-so-cute and we loved our stay. The fire is a welcome addition even in the summer months too and makes it lovely and cosy. Thanks for all your help Mel & Helen :)

This cottage was perfect for two of us escaping for a few days, very cosy but with everything we needed. Access to lots of walking from the village, plus you can drive to many other places very easily. Good pubs, shop and cafe. Definitely taking a drive over to find the waterfall you can walk behind!

We were looking for a bit of time away to relax and recover and that's exactly what we found! We loved the little cottage and everything that came with it! Even though it was horrible weather, we still got to explore caves, castles and lots of tea rooms! To top it off every time we came back we made a little fire to keep us warm and dry us out from the weather! Would recommend this to everyone!

A gorgeous cottage in a lovely location. We had a fantastic long weekend. The cottage was well-appointed and more spacious than we'd expected. It was in such a peaceful spot and there were lots of great things to do nearby. We would love to return.
