Peter is a great host. His house is located in a wonderful place in Emmental, close to the famous Shockaserei. Perfect to relax, it takes half an hour by car to Bern, one hour to Lucerna. It is clean, well equiped, perfectly respondent to the advice. But most of all Peter supported my family in all our needs with courtesy and kindness. Thanks, Peter!

Response from Peter:
Dear Lando Thanks for your warm feedback. I noticed that you missed the joint use of the kitchen. And I considered a way to offer this option, too. I feel this option cannot be included in the room price. It would be an injustice to such guest that don't need or want this option to include joint use of the kirchen in the calculation of the room price. Be aware: It is an extra effort and a special risk. I wonder if you would have booked this option under the conditions I have fixed for future guest. Here they are: Dear geust Every housewife knows: "Letting somebody else using my own kitchen isn’t an easy thing to do." I will do you this favor because I want to make my guests happy during their stay at Pierre-à-Baus. But I want to feel good with my offer and for this it needs some regulatory. I ask for your understanding. 1. Booking The joint use of the kitchen MUST be booked in advance and the guest must fill in and sign the document attached. Booking is not possible for one single guest unless the guest confirms to pay charges for one adult and one child. 2. Charges The charges depend on the number of guests (up to a maximum of CHF 30/day/meal). It is CHF 9.50 / adult and day and CHF 6.50 / child and day for dinner (main meal of the day). For breakfast it is 50 % of that (use of coffee machine not included). The security deposit is CHF 150. The deposit must be paid at the latest (together with the booking fee) on arrival. If you don’t really want to cook but just want to heat ready meals or to bake pizza you’ll get a reduction of 50 %. In this case no cooking pots and only tableware will be provided. 3. Rules There is only one person/guest that is allowed to use the kitchen. The host provides only those tableware and kitchen utensils he owns (the kitchen is well equipped in relation to a normal Swiss household). It is recommended to ask in advance whether a certain kitchen appliance is available or not. Besides spices and small amounts of sugar the host don’t provide any foods for cooking. The coffee machine must be used only by the host but guests have to pay only 60 % of the prices shown in the menu. The same goes for any drinks except wines and the spirits listed in the special menu ‚Miniaturen‘. The kitchen has to be cleaned after every use. A dishwasher is available. Guests are allowed to store drinks and food not only in the fridge in there room but also in the fridge and in the freezer in the kitchen. Kind Regards Peter Your host
