The apt was clean and the staff were very very nice. It appears this is one of several apt the host owns. I don't think you will find him very hands on. The apt is better suited for 4 people and 5 only if two people are children, or very very close. The rear bedroom is one double bed. Two people can sleep there. The first bedroom is a twin and a very small double. You get the picture...whoever shares that double should be really close friends, children, or a couple that doesn't mind sharing the room with their friend sleeping 3 ft away in the single bed. Because the apt stated it slept 6 and he confirmed six could fit that is how we came. Because I made the reservation I asked for a cot and spent the first night in the kitchen on the cot. We inquired about an additional apartment and they told me one would be available a few blocks away the following day! I had my 75 year old mother with me and she was not keen on staying there while I was a few blocks away. I have been to Havana before but she had not. SO her comfort level was different. Luckily an additional apartment became available one flight above this one but I had to pay an additional 30 a cuc per night although I had already paid for this apt through AirBNB. That was disappointing. Outside of that the people working in the Apt were stellar and very helpful. The apt is clean and basic. The water tank did empty during our stay and everyone had to come upstairs to my new apt to shower. But it was rectified by our afternoon return. There is a mini bar with water, beer, and refresca (soda) which was very good to have. Breakfast is not included in the apt we originally rented but the upstairs apt hosted by Jaqueline offered breakfast. Economical basic stay, good value if you have 4 people, wonderful location, 2-3 blocks from Obispo were there is lots of action. Close to the Floridita, and Centro Park where you can get a bus to Santa Maria Beach for 5 CUC round trip! Habana Vieja is certainly a place to stay.
