This 7 room house is across from a conservation area in a lovely neighborhood in south Amherst. The street is a one mile circle, perfect for walking. Graduate students are in some of the rooms during the school year. You will feel free to make yourself at home immediately. I live downstairs but will be happy to chat or to let your do your own thing.
We are friendly and welcoming here, but everyone is busy and independent. The community has lots to do, and if you don't want to walk the mile to the bus stop on Rt. 116, I can give you a ride into town or to the University of Massachusetts. Above ground pool in the summer time. No air conditioning in the house although I have purchased a portable one and am working on setting it up. Other rooms in the house may also be available at the same time.
Guests are welcome to use the whole upstairs, living room, kitchen, men's and women's bathrooms and deck off of the kitchen. Guests have enjoyed the lush green and many birds as they have breakfast on the deck.
Other things to note
There are 3 cats from Turkey who come and go through their cat door down stairs. Also, for those not familiar with New England, it occasionally can get very hot in the summer, but usually doesn't last long. In the winter it is warm and cozy. The wood stove downstairs gives additional warmth.
