Ahh, where do I start. Dikshya, her father Rabi and the rest of the family truly made me feel at home. I was spoilt with kindness, local knowledge and generosity. Their family is always smiling and happy. I ate every meal with the family over my 3 day stay and they were more than happy to cater for me as I am vegan. The food was traditional and extremely tasty. The location of Dikshya's home is in the residential area, so it is perfect to escape the tourist scene and get a taste of the way local life is. I walked into the tourist area of Thamel which took about 45 mins. There are many tea shops, places for coffee and restaurants nearby their home. However, I ate every meal at home! They were constantly giving me pecans from their tree and giving me any information I needed for the rest of my travels. Rabi is full of worldly and local knowledge and can relate to western life. He had a genuine interest in the way we live in Australia and we spent many hours chatting over a black tea, green tea or hot lemon and ginger in the sun. I am already looking forward to staying here again before I fly home. With kindness, Cade, Australia

Oh! Cade, I am very much overwhelmed by your kind words. Most of the Nepalese people, are always like that by nature which you may experience all over Nepal. Hope you will also enjoy your further travels in rest of our country. Best regards, Dikshya

During my stay I felt like part of the family. Rabi, its head, was always giving me wise advices and recommendations on what is worth seeing in and around the city and how to get there with his warm heart. Just as I didn't feel like leaving the mountains, I didn't feel like leaving Rabi's place.

Dikshya's home is a haven of calm in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. 10 minutes from the airport and walking distance from the town centre. Dikshya's father, Rabi, works in the travel business and knows all about Kathmandu & travel in Nepal. A brilliant place to stay!
