Beautiful, 200+ year old farmhouse, less than 3 miles from UNH and 20 minutes from Portsmouth, surrounded by over 100 acres of nature.
It has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs as well as 3 living rooms, one dining room, a kitchen and a small toilet downstairs. Total area is about 2000 square feet (185 m2). The house has a 1.5-acre backyard.

This is our everyday home that we rent when we are on long trips and we hope that you will treat it as such. We have 2 cats and ~a dozen chicken.

The space

The house is a typical New England house from the early 1800s (kitchen and dining rooms are probably from late 1700s). All bedrooms are upstairs and there are 3 living rooms downstairs + a separate dining room and separate kitchen. Wide pine floor (original) throughout, old blown glass windows.
We have two cats and ask you to feed them; they are indoor/outdoor, so no worry about their going in/out. We have a dozen or so chicken in a coop and run in the property, you can get the fresh eggs daily in the coop.

Guest access

We rent our entire house, except for one room upstairs (unoccupied). The attic space is also out of bound. There is ample parking space in the driveway. We ask you to treat this house as you will treat your own, so please no shoe in the house (the pine floor is soft). You have full access to the garden, the chicken coop and the fresh eggs.

Interaction with guests

We rent this house when we are on travel, but we will leave you with phone numbers of friends living nearby in case you need something.

Other things to note

The third bedroom has an Ikea daybed that can be opened into a king size bed. Closed, it is a twin bed. We have a crib in that room that we can replace with a desk if preferred. The two other rooms have queen size bed. The large living room has a sofa that can open into a queen bed. The two smaller living rooms have two benches onto which one person can sleep. There is a laundry machine for use in the house, as well as a clothesline outside to dry your clothes.
Coffee and basic cooking supplies are free to use, the fridge will be clean except for one shelf with our condiment.
One of the cat (the one in the picture) is the sweetest thing in the world, the other one is hiding almost 24/7. Some of our chickens give green-shelled eggs (same taste and look inside).
We have a TV but no cable or even over-the-air stations, we use it to plug a laptop and watch movies.
