Wonderful private cottage that has been lovingly restored. Situated only 10 min from Örebro City. The house is situated in a Idyll surrounded by pastures with sheep and horses . You have the whole house to yourselves, patio and own parking directly adjacent to the house. The house is close to a farm. Extra services: breakfast 95kr / person, bed linen 95 SEK / person. Pls note that in the small bedroom the bed is only 160 cm long (see picture).

The space

You have the whole cottage for yourself and you have a patio facing south where you can take your morning coffee or sit and enjoy the sun during the day. There is also a grill if you wish to enjoy a lovely dinner outside in the evening (during summer season). We want to create a home with the little extra - where you an enjoy the typical Swedish nature and countryside at the same time as you are very close to one of Swedens bigger cities where you can enjoy everything from Örebro Castle to fantasic shopping.
For us comfort is important and therefor you will have new pillows and quilts, cozy environment with details, functional accommodation both for those who work and those who want to experience a family vacation, the opportunity to experience both rural life and urban life. The house has a large bedroom with two beds which you can either make two single beds of or have as a kingsize. Bedroom 2 is only one bed (queen size) but it´s only 160 cm long. So either you can sleep 2 juniors in it or or 1 adult little on the diagonal (see picture you will understand). The cottage is overall very spacious and light settings. There are blackout curtains in all rooms (both bedrooms and living room). The only place that does not have it is the kitchen where there is a bed. If you have infants, we also have a crib, potty, high chair to rent 100: - / packages for the entire stay. Pls inform us in advance.

Guest access

You have access to the entire house and the garden outside of yourselves. There are other houses in the neighborhood who have their own gardens. If you wish linen & towel please let us know in advance ( 95 sek / person). The same goes for breakfast - we will be happy to give you a nice breafast (95:-person and day)
There is a small washing machine and a dish washing machine in your house.
Pls leave the house in the same condition as you arrived to. You have full equipped cleaning supplies. If you need help with cleaning - pls contact us in advance and we will of course help you.

Other things to note

You live in a living farm environment where there are plenty of horses and sheep and even tractors that can occur once a week. But none of them will pass directly by your cottage so you can choose if you like to see them or not.

I don't like to write a bad review but our Airbnb hosts have written one which probably isn't positive, so I'll speak my mind. The communication pre-booking was very good. Fast, efficient, informative. Annica gave us a tip of a castle and cake place to visit on the way, which we did and was very nice. We were greeted by Jonas, the kids and the dog. Which was lovely. We didn't meet Annica. The cottage is very pretty and nicely decorated. Unlike most other Airbnb's I've booked around the world, Annica & Jonas charged extra for sheets & towels. We agreed to pay this but expected the sheets to be at least ironed and put onto the duvets on the bed. What really annoyed us was the cleaning & check list. On the kitchen table and on the back of the door. This may be a result of bad experiences with previous tenants or this may be a cultural difference, but not knowing any history it comes across as detailed to the point of pedantic and passive aggressive. There is even a series of photos of (I suspect henpecked) Jonas demonstrating how to put the sofa bed away. It was made clear that we must do everything on the list "even if you do not feel it's necessary to do all things please do them or we will have to do them and you will have to pay for it" Wow! We left the place clean and tidy. We are grown ups and not disrespectful. And with all these cleanliness expectations, the place wasn't spotless or perfect. As we were given a list, here is my list of imperfections: there's an old window frame behind the sofa the sofa base is half painted many of the curtains don't close (decoration only) there's no carpet in the toilet and a moth lava crawled out onto one of the sofa cushions. Yak! Needless to say as pretty as the cottage is, we have had amazing wonderful experiences with Airbnb hosts in many parts of the world (including Sweden). This was just a business deal that didn't really meet expectations for either of us.

We stayed for a week at Annica & Jonas beautiful cottage. It was cosy and warm and decorated very nicely. The beds were really comfortable! We met Annica first who was lovely and introduced us to her two goats and lovely dog Jojo!. Jonas was also very nice and most helpful. We had a really good experience and would definitely love to stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights at Jonas' and Annica's place. It was very easy to find and accessible by car. The house has everything you need for a lovely, quite stay in the nature of Sweden. The bathroom is pretty small but we were fine with that. Communication was good, questions were promptly answered. The house is located close to Örebro. During our stay we visited Tiveden national park (highly recommended), the city centre of Örebro and we went mountain biking at Annaboda. This mountain bike trip was recommended by Jonas, about 30 minutes by car from the house. A great way to spend your day active.

This place is simply magical. There is so much to explore in and around Örebro, you will need more than a few days. Annica and Jonas are very considerate and welcoming and will gladly help with everything you need.

We had a lonely stay in this great little place in Orebro. Its about 15 minute drive outside the city on a quiet countryside. I have been in touch with Annica. She always responds to messages very quickly, gave us great tips for things to do nearby (Naturus Hus), where to eat and when we met here on the second day she invited us to join her feading the lambs. An amazing experience. If you are looking for a place to stay in Orebro and have a car, definately stay here!!

Dear Laurens - soo nice having you and your family here!! I think you ment "lovely stay" not "lonely stay" :) :) (since you had your family with you and us and others around the corner...hard to be lonely then...:)). I had a great time getting to know you and hope you have a great move to Örebro in the fall!! See you

Interaction with guests

We live in one of the house next door and are available for questions, suggestions for activites etc. If we have time and opportunity we love to show you the farm where we can show you the lamb / sheep and you can try to feed them, ride a tractor if you have small children, clap dog and you can se how a sheepdog works when the handels the sheeps (it's a working dog).

About Annica & Jonas
