Spacious 65 square meters 2 room apartment located on 2nd floor.
The apartment has an open kitchen/living room with a bar and an office section, a french and a normal terrace and a nice big bedroom. Suitable for a couple or a single.

The space

A few hundred meters from the ocean. The big Øresund ocean can be viewed by small effort. This apartment is in the second row of buildings out to the sea. Outer Copenhagen Østerbro offers a peaceful and quiet environment. The apartment is located 300 meters from the train station 'Nordhavn', but conveniently enough you are unable to hear the trains from the apartment. So if you want to live in quiet surroundings without the noise and pace of sleeping in a big capital city, but still be able to be in inner city within 10 minutes – this is the ideal apartment for your stay

Guest access

The apartment building has a yard. There you will find tables, grass area and barbecue area. Furthermore there is a sports hall behind the apartment, where you can enjoy several different acitivites – such as table tennis, badminton, indoor football, music rehearsal rooms etc.

Interaction with guests

My phone number, email and other contact information will be available, so you can always reach me if needed. I can function as your Conscierge if you have any requests or need recommendations. I also have a very good friend of a neighbor (across the hall), who can help you with recommendations, where to go and other Conscierge functions when he's home.

Benjamin was difficult to be contacted and did not provide me with any prior contact before my arrival in Copenhagen. It was only after numerous texts and emails sent on my day of arrival did I receive any contact from Benjamin. Benjamin eventually met me at the apartment and kindly show me around the apartment and provided me with the access keys. The apartment was roomy and was more than adequate for our needs. It was conveniently located to the Metro which was only a short distance away and also close to where my family who I was visiting lived. However, I was disappointed with the following issues; 1. the kitchen had three down lights of which only one was in working order. I contacted Benjamin to advise him of this and asked for the bulbs to be replaced. He advised he was aware of the problem but unfortunately declined to replace the faulty bulbs which I felt most unhappy with, 2. the lid to rubbish bin in the kitchen was broken and could not be closed. Again Benjamin must have been aware of this problem but nothing was done to fix this prior to my arrival. Obviously, I did not use this bin as any rubbish placed in this container would result the room being very smelly and uncomfortable, 3. the drain cover in the bathroom was covered with hair and dirt. It was filthy and would appear not to have been cleaned or properly cleaned prior to my occupation, 4. there were many private items in the bedroom (personal clothing) and in the kitchen (various food ect), which I was informed not to touch. The personal clothing was covered with two blankets taped on both sides which was not secure and came apart and looked most untidy. I would have thought any private property/items would be removed when a property is rented out.

Response from Benjamin:
I am very disappointed that Jack feel so negative about his stay in my apartment. Although I believe that his critique give the wrong perception of both me, my hostship and my apartment (which is rightfully displayed in the several other positive guest feedbacks). Here are my answers to Jacks disappointments: Communication could have been better initially, although it was only a matter of one day's late response time. Still I apologize that this caused concerns on his behalf. 1. There is adequate lighting in the kitchen, but it seems as if Jack wasn't able to locate an important lamp under the cooking hood, even though I informed him about it when he wrote me on the issue. That I should have informed him about - my apologies again. 2. Regarding the rubbish bin with the broken lid, yes I was aware of the problem, but since there is another adequate rubbish bin right next to it, I didn't realize that it would cause such a dissatisfaction with Jack - again my apologies. 3. I spent hours cleaning the apartment and know for a fact, that the bathroom was clean - although the drain under the zink could have been cleaned better (which it will be from now on) - apologies again. 4. I have a really large bedroom closet, and had cleared a whole section for Jacks clothing and covered my own in a section with a blanket over it. Unfortunately it had come down during Jacks stay, which I was not aware of. In relation to his discomfort with private items in the apartment, I believe that Jack might have misunderstood an element of the Airbnb experience. This is that you stay in other, private, people's homes and the concept is that it's someone's home with local cultural. Another misleading element is my unwillingness to help with the issues when informed about them - I was simply physically unable to come to the apartment right away, which I also informed Jack about. Apparently that wasn't good enough. All in all I am very sad that Jack had such a disappointing experience in my apartment. However I thank him for notifying me on aspects that can and will be improved, but believe that his expectations to the stay at my apartment was more suitable for a 5-star hotel stay in relation to sterility, instant service and communication. And when the expectations are of that extent, one should be willing to pay the many times higher hotel rate compared to staying at my place.

I had a great stay at Ben's apartment over 10 nights, he was very welcoming and the apartment was accurately described. It was in a great location 2 minute walk from Nordhavn train station which has great links to the city centre. The apartment was clean and spacious and in a nice area in Osterbro.

In Short: Benjamin's place was awesome! He was very good about communication back and forth. You cannot go wrong renting this place! Long version: I was not a very easy customer to deal with since my timing needed to be somewhat flexible. My trip through Copenhagen was on the way home once a field job was completed. I wasn't sure exactly when my field work would be complete, but Benjamin did his best to accommodate me and it all worked out in the end. His apartment is a fantastic place to stay. Very spacious, and everything you'll need to live cheaply and comfortably in Copenhagen. His place is about 500m from the train station, making it really easy to get around the city. There are a few bike rental shops nearby as well. I would highly recommend you rent one - it was my favourite way to explore the city. I will gladly rent from Benjamin again in the future.

Benjamin`s apartment was superb! It`s in a relatively new building and based on European standard it`s quite spacious too. There`s everything you might need in the apartment itself and surroundings and location wise it`s conveniently located in walking distance from metro, bus, and hey it`s Copenhagen so rental bikes are even closer just around the corner:) He was pretty responsive during correspondence and although I didn`t get to meet him in person but he arranged everything for check-in and check-out through his friend/neighbor so it went very smoothly. All in all I would definitely recommend and return again if I get the chance.
