McKinley’s Cabin is our authentic, hand hewn, 1840’s era log cabin with a hot tub, wood burning fireplace, and air-conditioning.
It is is on Carnifex Ferry Road, the dead end road that leads into Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park.
This cozy cabin has a wood burning fireplace, TV, VCR and CD player in the living area and a complete “kitchenette” (apt. sized appliances) including a microwave.
There is a spiral staircase leading to the upstairs bedroom where there is an antique brass bed.
There are several hiking trails accessible from the front door of your Carnifex Ferry Cottage covering 200 acres with 3 magnificent overlooks! One trail leads to the upper Gauley River, the Beast of the East as whitewater enthusiasts call it, and the class V+ rapid, Pillow Rock, one of the most intense rapids in the eastern United States!
