Absolutely charming, historical house with fun and quirky touches everywhere. Great location close to horse country, wine tasting, hiking, and Shenandoah U. Kitchen is small but incredibly well organized and complete. Comfy beds. Excellent breakfast provisions, coffees, teas and other yummies. Well stocked bar and wine selection on the honor system.

Carole is a great host and very responsive to questions and concerns via text and email. We were in town for a family wedding, and this house and yard had plenty of space for family gatherings. Our toddler loved the yard and basketball court for running around and riding scooters. The house is set up for fun socializing with lots of game tables and a GIANT tv! Beds were very comfortable and linens were high quality! Not sure if I missed it in the description, but the upstairs bathroom is only accessible through two adjoining bedrooms - not the hallway. Worked fine for us since we are all family.

Our group loved staying at Carole's place! There was cucumber water and cookies to greet us when we arrived. The kitchen was fully stocked and the location was excellent. Very close to wineries and town. I recommend going to Hunter's Head for a nice dinner out, close to the place and they had excellent food and service. Carole was also quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Carole is a great host! Very easy to communicate with. The house is surrounded by large trees and big hedges making it feel very secluded. We can't wait to go back

Our group of six + dog loved the Crooked House. It has all the comfort of home and then some - stocked kitchen & bar, extremely comfortable king beds in the two largest bedrooms, flat screens w/ DirecTV in every bedroom and living room, arcade games, hot tub, sauna, firepit, & more. You can tell a lot of thought & attention was put into the build-out & renovation to make the place AirBNB ready. The location is right along route 50, so it is not secluded, but it makes up for it with proximity to the mountains, Shenandoah river, Lake Frederick, wineries, breweries, etc. Carole was responsive to all communications & questions but otherwise left us to our own devices. We will be back!

In one word, quirky. This place has it all: hot tub, BBQ, arcade games, pinball, stocked bar, basketball court, sauna, fire pit, outdoor shower.... quirky awesomeness. The perfect place to relax with friends out of the city. Carole is a great host and goes out of her way to make sure you know all that the house has to offer and that you are taken care of. Highly recommend.

Welcome to Air BNB. If you are new or a seasoned user, I can't wait to help meet your needs with a short term rental. I have lived in Virginia for most of my life. I grew up in Great Falls and Unison, Virginia. Surrounded my many animals to include horses, I understand what people are looking for when they come to this part of Virginia. I can offer suggestions on where to visit, boat, fish, hike, shop and eat. I can make your hat or tailgate picnic for the steeplechase races for you and your guests. I have many great dishes I can offer for your special event. If you simply are coming to get away from the city and have a quiet weekend, I know one of my many properties in this region can accommodate your needs, even a special event like a family reunion or wedding. I have studio apartments, plantations, chic homes, cottages, river views, all here on Air BNB and I am happy to help you navigate your ideal stay. I even have a network of friends who do Air BNB and perhaps they have a better fit, that is fine, we can help. My prices are fair but driven by the market. My motto is "whatever, whenever"-sound familiar? I borrowed it from my fav hotel, Westin "W". Looking forward to meeting you and working with you.
