Our place is great for one or 2 couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with up to 2 kids). We are conviently located close to the Phoenix airport, award winning amazing schools, many excellent golf courses, world class hiking and biking trails, shopping, casinos, theaters, museums and more!

We are happy to host kids (with their parents of course) , but due to Arizona pool laws, they must be over the age of six, and we request that they already be proficient swimmers.

The space

Our home is like a resort but more relaxed - no worries about how to tip ;-) The two available rooms are upstairs and they are only for one group of guests at a time, so you won't be sharing the space with strangers. You have your own private bathroom with double sinks and bathtub/shower. The closets and dressers are empty for your belongings.

Our master bedroom is on the same floor but is separated by a hallway for your privacy. There is also another room adjacent to yours which has a desk and comfortable futon couch if you need to do a bit of work.

Guest access

The only private areas are our master bedroom suite and our office. Otherwise, you may use the rest of the house including the kitchen, laundry room, living room, pool table, piano, Ms. Pacman console, dining room and pool area, including the built-in gas barbecue grill. ENJOY!. We only ask that you clean up after yourself in any area that you use.

Interaction with guests

We love meeting new people and we are available to offer suggestions and conversation when desired, but for those who just want privacy and are not looking to chat, we will respect that as well. We have lived in the area for 15 years and can share lots of information if you need it. We also have stayed in over 50 Airbnb's so we are really in tune with what makes a stay special.

Other things to note

Please keep in mind that the bedrooms are upstairs if mobility is an issue. Oh, and the water faucets in the guest bathroom are backwards, hot on the right, cold on the left!

Parking will be in one space in the driveway or on the street in front of the house.

(We Are) Bonnie & Ky User Profile

We are a happily married couple (28 years) and we have two amazing young adult kids. We retired in 2015 from our own small electronics company. We love to travel just about any time, any where. Bonnie is a pilot just for fun and Ky loves riding motorcycles. Our hobbies are constantly changing because we love to try new things. We do lots of outdoor sports like hiking and biking and we love meeting new people. When the kids were little we took a year off and traveled around the world with them - such a great adventure.

We led nomadic lives for almost two years between 2015 and 2017 (and we're not done quite yet. We stayed in more than 50 Airbnbs so we decided we wanted to start hosting whenever we're in town in our home. We learned from some of the amazing hosts that we stayed with what it takes to create a successful stay, and we're looking forward to meeting you!

Bonnie's life motto is "Life wasn't meant to be a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to the finish line, used up, totally fulfilled, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow, what a ride.'" Written by poet T. Barksdale.

Another favorite motto is "Leave it better than you found it."
