Had a great time at Brian and Mark's place. Good people living in the house, even more than what I needed was provided, a few minutes walk from the nearest BART station. Won't find a better deal in the area, will definitely stay there again if I'm around :)

Great place to stay if you're on a budget. I was able to get good sleep and do my laundry. The room was shared and partitioned with curtains on my side, the other side had those Japanese screens, along with the stairs leading up to the second floor, so there was ample privacy, although noises could still be heard. The 2nd floor also has an AC unit so it remains cool upstairs on those hot days. Hosts are kind, and are available if you have questions or need help, but otherwise give you your privacy. Location is in an area with some homeless people but they keep to themselves. Will definitely stay here again for the convenience and affordability.

Had stayed at this property once before and had encountered no problems, during that visit! This visit, however, was totally different! I had showed up to the property exactly when I had said I would, and after trying multiple times, I was unable to gain access to the property, using the outside combo lock! Because of this, I had unsuccessfully tried e-mailing, texting and calling Brian! Then, as a last resort, I had to call AirBNB, and they, too, were unsuccessful in trying to contact Brian! Finally, out of options, AirBNB issued me a credit for the stay, plus a $50 voucher for the inconvenience! Because it was too late to book another place for the night, I had to end up staying in my car, which was less than ideal! Brian did later say that he was able to successfully use the combo lock, when he had tried! Even if I were to give him the benefit of the doubt, it would've been nice if Brian would've made himself available to me, especially since I haven't even checked into the property yet!!!

Response from Brian:
Scott had arranged for self check-in, a service we provide, and which no other guests have had a problem with at a late hour. I do my best to be accommodating and available, and in fact was available less than 10 mins from when Airbnb contacted me by email to resolve this issue. I was not on the property at the time of his arrival, and when I returned there were no issues with either combo lock, so I'm not sure what could have happened here.

I love finding ways to appreciate nature, art and music, empowering myself and others with creative business and expressive opportunities, learning, hosting folks and more.

At airbnb's request, my closest thing to a life motto would be: Do the best that we can as fallible humans to build and propagate better memes and models -- in all types of interactions. Ultimately, that's all that we are, and all that we have to leave to this world.
