The space

This is a one bedroom apartment with a queen bed in the bedroom, a twin daybed with trundle twin mattress and twin futon in the living area. Easily sleeps 4.

The kitchen is newly remodeled with a new stove, fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. There is a window seat in the kitchen and two bar stools. Feel free to use the pots and pans for cooking.

The building is secured with a keypad on the door and is only a block from Rittenhouse Square. It is very close to everything and minutes from 30th Street Station. A bus runs right down Locust to the historic areas in Old City.

Lots of nearby shops like (7-eleven), a great produce market (Maxx's), an excellent beer store (Food and Friends), and several restaurants minutes from your doorstep.

The living room has a day bed with trundle. Two new twin beds for sleeping in the living room! The living room has a separate window a/c and ceiling fan.

The bedroom has a bed with plenty of pillows. There is a wall a/c and a ceiling fan in the bedroom as well as two large closets for hanging clothes as well.

Central location. Top floor of old charming building. Place was comfortable but missing a few things that would be there if it were someone’s real home, like bedside light, kitchen towels, etc.

Jens place was amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend it if you’re looking for a lively neighborhood with great restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. Parking can be a little tricky as it is limited to 1-2 hours at a time and is usually restricted 8-6pm except for Sundays. There are a few parking garages close by and are about $25 a day. Now remember, if you are parking in a garage you can’t take your car in and out throughout the day so your best option is either Uber, the bus or the Subway if you plan on visiting outside of Rittenhouse which are all very easy to access. Jen responded in a timely manner when we needed anything from her. Great stay, can’t wait to go back.

Jen’s place was conveniently located just steps away from Rittenhouse Square and downtown. A safe neighborhood & plenty of restaurants nearby. If you don’t mind a fourth floor walk up this is a good place to stay.

This apartment was a bit of a mixed bag. Location is really good. It's a quick taxi to the historic old part of town, and there are plenty of local eateries within walking distance. The apartment itself is in an older apartment building at the top of the 4th floor. The steps become narrower the higher you go, so keep this in mind if your luggage is big or heavy. Wifi is a bit patchy. The kitchen is fully functional for cooking but keep in mind the only items supplied are herbs (14 of them!) and what seems to be the leftovers from previous travellers. I am not expecting a fully catered kitchen but when we have stayed at AirBnbs where they provide at least the basics, it really makes you feel welcome. However Jen is a communicative host and when a problem arose with the laundry, she was quick to respond and for that we are very appreciative.

We loved the location. Quaint sweet little place. Nice and clean with everything we needed. Building is in poor condition but that didn't affect our stay at all. A+ for communication.

A smallish simple one bedroom in a great location. Great restaurants, shopping, and cafes in walking distance. Very cute neighborhood. In an old building that is slightly worn. The apt below was under construction so there was some noise on weekdays starting at 9am but not a big issue unless you need to sleep in. Weekend was fine. Communication was good. A nice basic place to stay in a great location for walking around Philadelphia.

Jen's place is in an absolutely lovely area full of great shops and restaurants! We were visiting to see some theatre in University City. The walk across the water was delightful and we adored every moment in town. The apartment was great and was a wonderful place to call home while in Philly.

I am a lover of travel. I enjoy reading (real books and audio books), yoga, and almost any outdoor activity.

AirBnb is fantastic! It brings me great happiness to host others while they visit my favorite city, Philadelphia. I own a property management company called, Slate & Hearth. Check us out!!
