A little slice of paradise! We parked our car and enjoyed all of the gems this quaint village had to offer. The space was clean, well stocked with linens and towels, and had thoughtful items: such as field guides for shells and shore birds; as well as, a small fan and fresh ground coffee for your morning cup. All in all a great space in a spectacular place!

Amanda was an amazing host that respected our privacy but kept open communication during our stay in case we needed help. The cottage is perfectly maintained and the location is great for some quiet time after coming back from the beach. We went to Tigertail and it's only 15mins away.

If you want to stay in Goodland, FL this place is perfect. It also might be an option for someone who would like to be near Marco Island.

My boyfriend and I planned a spontaneous trip to Florida and wanted to check out a place we've never been before in Florida... We looked into Marco Island and came across Amanda's rental on the site. Before our arrival, I had some questions that she promptly responded to and gave me some good tips and information. Upon our arrival, she greeted us with a big smile and welcomed us to her home and we were introduced to her husband and their three beautiful daughters. While she gave us our privacy at all times, their home is just next door so if we needed Amanda at all, she was right there for us! She showed us the beautiful, breathtaking view in the backyard...right on the bay! The view and peacefulness alone made us feel like we were FINALLY on vacation!! The property is on the bay as I mentioned, butted up to the edge of Ten Thousand Island National Wildlife Refuge. There was so much action on the water...We enjoyed watching dolphins put on a "show" for us every day and we saw manatees, mullet, catfish and so much more, right in our very own backyard! It was such a pleasure to wake up and have morning coffee on the water, so peaceful and serene! The home itself was just what we wanted! When you enter, there's a seating area where my boyfriend and I would read and talk and a kitchen with a stove and oven and all the essentials like cookware, silverware, soap, beach and bath towels! If we needed anything additionally, Amanda took care of it! We stocked the refrigerator with fresh veggies and fruits and cooked some nights (When we weren't trying the crab shacks and restaurants in town which I will get to in a minute!). Amanda gave us complimentary farm fresh eggs, upon our arrival as well...What a treat!!! The coziest part of the home is the bedroom... with a nice, big King size bed! Some of the best nights of sleep we've had in so long because it's so quiet and comfortable! We were looking for something a little low key and that's exactly what we got at Amanda's place! It's just a walk away to all the fun we could ask for - including Restaurants/Bars, Seafood Market, (URL HIDDEN) many fun things to do within 1 square mile!! We tried just about every restaurant and bar by the time we checked out and our personal favorite was The Little Bar (Although all of them are sooo good!). The food is sensational and the live music drew us in every time! I do miss the live music (basically anywhere we went there was live music) and the community in Goodland is so tight knit and friendly! We felt like we were "part of the family." We were there for "Goodland Day" where the whole community gathered and had great food in the park and my boyfriend and I won two raffles - both certificates to...

This place was great. We did not want the flash and glitz of the big high-rise places. We wanted a nice place to stay where we could relax and enjoy, walk to good food and drink, and experience a version of "Old Florida". We got everything we wanted. Communication with our host was clear, easy and accurate. She always got back to me right away. The cottage is adorable and has everything you need and not much extra to distract or maintain. The bar/restaurants you can walk to have music most every night and some of it is fabulous. Easy drive to Everglades City for history, the Everglades for nature, and Marco Island for great beaches more food choices. Kirk's seafood market is a few minute walk from the cottage and sold us such great fresh seafood that we often opted to stay home and cook ourselves. Everyone we met was friendly and just delightful to talk with. Amanda was great to work with, available when we had a question or wanted to chat, but never intrusive.
