The space

This is a beautiful area with stunning countryside and picturesque Wealden villages. There are many wonderful footpaths which can be explored from our doorstep. In springtime the lambs and bluebells are magical! One of our favourite walks is a circular walk taking in The Woodcock at Iden Green. Huge inglenook fireplace and pretty garden for sunny days!

Guest access

Completely private access and private, courtyard garden, with table, chairs and parasol where guests can have breakfast on sunny days or enjoy a glass of wine (or two) in the evenings!

This is a cosy and secluded cabin behind the owners house. There is one big living and sleeping area and a separate bathroom. It is beautifully clean and well presented. The breakfast is fresh local bread etc and fresh fruit, tea and coffee is also provided. Highly recommended.

We had a fab stay at The Summer House, such a lovely little hide away. Great location with lots of lovely places nearby to visit such as Sissinghurst, Bodium and Bedgebury Forest. Sue was really helpful taking us round the place when we arrive. Thanks!

The photos of The Summer House - which do look great - don't do enough justice to how wonderful this room is. Stand alone from the host's house, accessed through a side gate, this is a roomy double room with lots of natural light, a little outdoor courtyard, and a very, very comfortable bed. Clean linens, a both healthy and spoiling breakfast, and an easy check-in / check-out process. Small, but functional bathroom (shower, not bath). If you are visiting the area (we arrived in the late-evening sun with village cricket being played on the green, Morris Dancers doing their thing in the pub next door - so a nice area to visit), cannot recommend this room more highly.

Five things we can't live without: Family, friends, good food and wine, fresh air! We love holidays, especially in Greece, Spain, France, Italy and skiing in the Alps. We like meeting people, socialising with friends, rugby, horses and walking in the glorious Kent countryside. We try to always enjoy the moment!
