This was a beautiful little cottage in a really cute location. My boys loved the bed behind the curtain. It also had a futon and a bedroom separated by a curtain, a kitchen table, small kitchen and a bathroom. Surprisingly spacious for the size it appeared. Patricia was easy to get a hold of and was very helpful if any issues arose or if I had any questions. We had a great time.

We loved our two nights at the cabin--it's a perfect step above camping, with a hot shower, anything you need to cook, movies to watch, and super comfortable beds. The area was absolutely beautiful-we kayaked on Lake Michigan at sunset, built fires, and marveled at the night sky. Hope to be back!

Response from Patricia:
Happy you took advantage of our "amenities" land water and sky !! You described us perfectly as a step above camping. Glad you enjoyed yourselves and come back any time.

Great stay for a family of 3. The location was great, and easy to find. Communication with Patricia was great. It’s definitely a rustic spot. Loved the fire pit and grill outside.

This is such a fun little cabin. Our family of 4 fit perfectly. We enjoyed the beautiful setting, including the creek located just across the path and the beach across the highway. This cabin is a great blend--rustic while still having a few amenities like running water and a flush toilet. The location was great. We felt like we were "getting away from it all," but it was only a short drive to the nearest gas stations, grocery stores, and tourist destinations. Patty was easy to get a hold of and addressed our questions/concerns promptly.

Happy you enjoyed our "amenities" the river, the beach and the forest. You are just the type of guests we want in our cozy cabin!

I love the outdoors! Being at the Balsams is like being in heaven to week the snapping turtles are laying eggs, another week the salmon are coming up our creek to spawn. I also love my family and teaching people about science and nature.
