This cabin is a wonderful retreat away from all of the hustle and bustle. A great location on the river with beautiful views and plenty of space for rest and relaxation. William has been an amazing host and quick to respond with any questions I had.

The smallmouth were biting on the river, wading out and fishing was a great pleasure. 30 Metals steps down to river with a rough concrete landing were fine for me, but my wife was not joining me on the riverbank. Make sure you arrive early enough in the summer to air out the cabin and eliminate some of the heat of the day before night falls. The fans worked great to bring a cooling breeze through. A great location with beautiful views. Lovely deck with a built in bottle opener. Fridge worked great and the water tasted good. A great fishing camp on a beautiful river. I would come back for a weekend of fishing and floating with the guys.

Incredible spot on the river! The house was small but perfect for a group of 4! The land was great for campfires and playing with the dog! Steps led to the New River and we spent our day lounging in the river on tubes! It was a very peaceful spot! Only thing to note, there are two train tracks in the nearby vicinity, but it didn't bother us at all! If we return to Virginia we will definitely be back! Our thru hiker enjoyed his break from the trail!

The deck is great and overlooks the river. Not super easy to access the river, but there is a boat launch close by. You can see the next door neighbors from the deck, so not completely private. The house itself is small, dark, and outdated. There were bugs inside the house. You have to drive to get to town. Also, there are train tracks behind the house and across the river that are used frequently throughout the day and night. Seemed overpriced, but it was rented on a holiday weekend.

Response from William:
Lol, dark, and outdated? It is a family cabin that was built by my grandfather for his wife in the 70s, so yes it is small, (it's a cabin), dark?(open the windows, or the shades) the trains, I don't think they are going anywhere, and yea...we are in the mountains, so yes you have to drive to get to the store. No pizza delivery here. And bugs? I don't think so. This cabin is cleaned professionally on a weekly basis. Not super easy acces to the river? Haha, walk down the steps, 30 yards across our lawn and down the steps to the river. All of the things you mentioned are what we love about our cabin.
