Francisco spoke no English and us no Spanish but we made it work. It was a very nice apartment in a very quiet local area. It was in a great location to go to Cadiz by car. There was no WIFI but we made do with Burger King for that. I would recommend a stay here. It has restaurants right next door and is on the water with nice views and a short walk to the beach.

Brilliant apartment on the coast away from the hustle of Cadiz. Free parking and only 20 minutes drive to Cadiz proved perfect for us. A walk along to the town centre for breakfast is highly recommended if you want experience the real Spain. The only downside I can say is the lack of wifi, other than that I would highly recommend Francisco's hospitality.

Francisco's place was a great stay for the night. There is a really small beach just a minute down the street. Only downside was that there was no wifi. However, Francisco made sure we had everything we needed and was very flexible on check-in and check-out times! We enjoyed our stay here!!

Well we arrived on a wet wind swept-ed day and thought o'dear where have we come to - chalk it up to experience. First impressions of Puerto Real is a small Spanish town on the coast which looks a little as if it would like to be a seaside town but has just not got there. How wrong could you be - if you want a true Spanish experience where you can observe the life of every day Spaniards then you will not be disappointed. There is a very vibrant feel of community with small cafes frequented by local people enjoying the the day with friends and relatives. There is the usual selection of shops that you would find in any small town, however the one asset it does have is a small but good indoor market selling locally caught fish, meat and vegetables. If you have hired a car then Puerto Real is ideal place to be based to see the West Coast of Andalucia. It is close to the motor way network, where you can be in the very fine city of Cadiz with its old town and amazing beaches within twenty minutes or the nice seaside resort of El Puerto Santa Maria. Jerez de la Frontera, one of the towns in the Cherry triangle is only thirty minutes to the North and if you desire can visit the Bodegas Gonzalez Byass Arcos de la Frontera, a white washed town located on top of mountain is about fortyfive minutes and very impressive. Travelling down the coast, Concil de la Frontera is a white washed seaside town worth visiting and if go further down the coast to Tarifa you look over to North Africa all within an hour to hour and half reach. Francisco very pleasant person met us punctually at 18:00hrs as agreed and came at our agreed departure time of 10:00hrs. The flat met with every expectation and was immaculate in cleanliness and decor. Furnishings were of a basic quality but had no marks or scratches or broken items. The bed was quite comfortable although if over six feet you may find it a little short. Hot water was plentiful being supplied by an instantaneous gas fired boiler and the kitchen was adequately equipped. Externally, the area to the flat was well kept with quite and pleasant neighbours who took a pride in having the common area between the flats ordained with numerous potted plants. The one thing of caution is if you have a disability or need wheelchair access it might not be for you as it is on the first floor with quite a steep set of steps at either end to access the common area between the flats. Parking is not a problem and is free. Yes, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to any one else thinking of visiting the area. Overall I would certainly give it a good nine out of ten.
