Our pretty three bed house has sea views, light airy rooms and a quirky colourful garden.

We have a separate sitting room with views to the coast and sea. Our kitchen diner is light and airy with a large oval table. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two doubles and one bunk bedded room. There is a shower room with full length walk in shower, loo and basin.

Please be aware that our parking space is small and will not take a 4x4 or similar. The car park which is close by costs £35 per week.

The space

What makes our space unique is our location. We have sea and coastline views from every room. We are five minutes walk from the harbour and beach and all the hustle and bustle of the old village with its collection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, two of them Michelin starred. You can walk the SW coast path from sunrise to sunset and see North Cornwall in all it's glory and when you walk is over enjoy a sundowner on The Platt and watch the sun disappear beyond the horizon.

Guest access

In the house we have wifi, a BT vision box with BT sport and Netflix. There are also plenty of dvds and enough books to while away an afternoon. There is also a Bose sound dock.

Interaction with guests

We wouldn't expect to see our guests unless there were problems. We are available by phone for any extra information that guests might need.

Other things to note

My husband Richard is a fisherman and we are happy to supply lobster and crab with 24 hours notice (weather permitting).

If you would like a night out without the little ones I am happy to arrange a sitter for you or sit myself.

A lovely cottage in Port Isaac that is a real home from home. It has a nice cosy feel to it and a lovely private back garden. Parking is available but as the owner says it is for a small car only - think Mazda 2 not 3. There is good public parking available though close by at £5 a day. Use phone and park and you can extend your time without getting out of bed -- or just pay for the week. Handy Co-op just up the road with the tourist shops and restaurants down the hill near the harbour. It is an old cottage which is part of its charm but it does mean steps up to the door and a staircase where you need to duck. Good wi-fi and plenty of tv channels and dvds. Loved it!

We (2 adults and 3 children) had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay in Ruth's place, it's also a convenient location for everything.

Quiet Waters is a well equipped house, very clean and finished to a very high standard inside with a pretty garden that catches the sun. Good WiFi and Netflix were a bonus. The house is near to the Co op and the owner is very quick to respond to emails and texts. Although the house might look small from the front, we were pleasantly surprised how spacious it was inside - our family of five were very comfortable here and there was even room to have three friends round for dinner and cards in the evening. It is possible to unload an estate car at the property and finding alternative parking was not too difficult - even in August. There is an outside tap which was useful for washing wetsuits.

Response from Ruth:
Will definitely consider your wetsuit idea. I usually use the hose for mine and hang it on the whirligig drier, I will leave the hose attached in future. Parking is at a premium and I'm sorry it wasn't clear to you about the size of our space, glad you managed to park on the road.

This is a perfect little house in a great location , close to the harbour and with a small super market just up the hill. The house is superbly equipped with nothing forgotten. Immaculately clean and a very pretty garden. Great drying space for wetsuits etc in and out and a good size kitchen with table for 6. We could not ask for more. Thoroughly recommended!

Hi, my name is Ruth and I live with my husband in the beautiful village of Port Isaac. I love my garden, sea swimming and travelling to festivals in our ancient motorhome.
