About this listing

Our pretty three bed house has sea views, light airy rooms and a quirky colourful garden. We have a separate sitting room with a bay window with views to the hillside known as "lobber" and the sea. Our kitchen diner is light and airy with a large oval table, and a wood burner. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two doubles and one bunk bedded room. There is a shower room with full length walk in shower, loo and basin. This has just been remodelled. Our garden is beautiful, if I say so myself!

The space

What makes our space unique is our location. We have sea and coastline views from every room. We are five minutes walk from the harbour and beach and all the hustle and bustle of the old village with its collection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, two of them Michelin starred. You can walk the SW coast path from sunrise to sunset and see North Cornwall in all it's glory and when you walk is over enjoy a sundowner on The Platt and watch the sun disappear beyond the horizon.

In June and July the popular TV series "Doc Martin" will be filming in the village. Watch the stars during the filming and hang out with the crew in the pub in the evenings. This is the eighth series and they are all familiar faces and very down to earth.

Guest access

In the house we have wifi, a BT vision box with BT sport and Netflix. There are also plenty of dvds and enough books to while away an afternoon. There is also a Bose sound dock.

Interaction with guests

We wouldn't expect to see our guests unless there were problems. We are available by phone for any extra information that guests might need.

Other things to note

My husband Richard is a fisherman and we are happy to supply lobster and crab with 24 hours notice (weather permitting).

If you would like a night out without the little ones I am happy to arrange a sitter for you or sit myself.

Hi, my name is Ruth and I live with my husband in the beautiful village of Port Isaac. I love my garden, sea swimming and travelling to festivals in our ancient motorhome.
